> 3 dayI have bought one of these before used and it worked amazing. They feel very sturdy and can flip to landscape or portrait mode. Unfortunately the one I received had screen damage and was not usable at all. Return for refund, I didn’t want to try and get another because the way they are packaged the glass part of the monitor is packed on the bottom of the box and anything that hits the side can damage them. If you can get a good one I would highly recommend but one star due to receiving a damaged product.

Greater than one weekI replaced an older Dell with this ViewSonic, which I am overall pretty happy with. The panel could be a little brighter, but it does have one feature which is very useful to me - I have two computers plugged into it, and if I sleep one and wake the other, it will automatically switch inputs. Not rocket science, but much nicer than fiddling around with the OSD to switch.

> 3 dayIm not very tech savvy , but I get by. I had no trouble at all assembling the stand to the base and the monitor to the stand. No tools required, it all just snaps/clicks together. This monitor is bright and sharp for both text on the screen and photos or browser windows. Not one broken pixel. Everything is perfect right out of the box. I had to provide an HDMI cable, which was not included. Adjustments for height and viewing angles are very flexible and easy and it makes it really quick to get comfortable in front of this monitor and be productive without a lot of fuss. Speakers built in are weak and tinny, but I use external speakers, so this was not a deal breaker. Dont expect great sound from this otherwise terrific monitor. Overall I think this screen is the perfect size for home use, superbly featured and priced with great value for all it has to offer. I know I will get years of crisp, clear images and easy adjustment with my VG 2248.

Greater than one weekI dont know why looking at some monitors gives me migraines, and others dont. Unfortunately, this turned out to be one of the monitors that gives me migraines. I have played with all of the settings, and adjusting the brightness, contrast etc. doesnt help. After an hour sitting in front of it, my eyes hurt and I feel awful. Will be returning and looking for another new monitor.

> 3 dayFirst couple months were pretty good, but recently it started flickering heavily for 5 minutes during startup, and then flickering occasionally during normal usage. This doesnt happen on my windows laptop but on my m1, its a really annoying issue.

> 3 dayIm using this monitor as a secondary monitor for my iMac 27. It really doesnt compare to the big retina display on the iMac, but I didnt expect it to since the resolution is just 1080P. I got it to use as a great second monitor where I can drag things I dont use all the time, or even more convenient, I drag the controls for Photoshop or Lightroom onto the ViewSonic so I have the whole iMac to display the picture(s) Im working on. The cables that came with the ViewSonic are convenient for those who can use them (see product description), but I had to buy an adapter cable from Amazon to connect it to the iMac. The Thunderbolt to HDMI cable was inexpensive and worked perfectly for a plug and play experience. The stand makes it easy to set the ViewSonic right next to the iMac with the edges matching at the top or bottom or anywhere in-between. Adjusting it is as simple pushing it up or down. If youve ever considered an external monitor, consider this one. I had a ViewSonic back in the CRT days. They make a great monitor for a low price that has bright, beautiful colors. Im sure it would make a great primary monitor as well.
