I have been buying these knives for years, I first discovered them on a trip to Germany 15 years ago. I have brought them back from trips to Germany for friends and family, and have at least 10 in my drawer at all times... I have this size and a shorter bladed pointed tip version, too. I use them to peel and cut apples for pie, as steak knives, preparing celery, cutting sandwiches, truly - you name it, I pretty much use this knife (except for carving turkey and bigger jobs requiring bigger knives). I purchased this set to put into my grown childrens stockings this year. To be honest I will keep a couple to add to my collection, too!! I am 53 and have medium sized hands, they fit me and my needs perfectly. I am really not kidding, this is my FAVORITE KNIFE, and I have many!!!!!

I bought these for my grandkids, so each one can have their own special knife. They are very sharp and because of the rounded edge they are safe for them to use. They are very colorful and I hope they will last.
