The product works pretty good. Would have given it 5 stars if it was a true air conditioner. The fan uses the air around you to cool you off, so if you are outside and its hot it blows warm air, if youre inside it feels more like an air conditioner cooling you off.

A bit louder than other ones and very expensive for what it is. There are alotvless expensive ones that do the same thing.

UPDATE in 2022: I have version 2 and still like this one. BUT...one year later and the cooling plate heats up where its not supposed to. When I want a blast of cool, I feel hot plastic on my neck. This is very unfortunate as it worked great prior. At this point, its only useful as a fan with the cooling plate off. ORGINAL REVIEW: I took this on a 10-day trip planning to return it after trying it outdoors and not feeling cooler. I’m so glad I kept it. Pros: Stylish Comfortable Quality *rattling noise on occasion. Shake to fix. Returned it for an exchange. Key Moments During My Vacation with This: At times my body temperature rose while seated indoors. I kept this around my neck all day so I was able to just turn it on briefly. It didn’t disturb anyone. When getting In and out of vehicles that needed time to cool, this served me well. On my trip in the airport and back, I had a face shield and mask on. Were it not for this, my mask would’ve fogged. The airline didn’t object. I put it through TSA check and all was well. Update: I’ve worn this at a Broadway show also. It made it through security check there and wasn’t a disturbance. Once my body cooled, I turned it off. Also another update: I noticed a crack (pictured) 3 days after the return window closed. I was able to return it via a call to Amazon. I wondered if as we are looking at cooler temps whether I wanted to purchase this again as I know it’s overpriced. But I did because I like it. Maybe one day someone will invent one that’s properly functional as a portable, wearable cooling system. I’ve yet to find a viable one. Conclusion: This is expensive but worthwhile IF using indoors, in shaded and/or not very hot and humid areas. If it’s for the latter, I don’t recommend it.

I put it on and in just a few seconds the air became cool and refreshing it became quite cold on the back of my neck and I no longer felt hot Great way to cool down on hot humid days and nights well worth the decent price.

This was my first neck fan at this price point with this feature. I thought I was either going to waste my money or be the cool kid on the block. Turns out I am the cool kid on the block. The fans keep your face cool as intended. And the cooling plate gets cold enough that in combo with the fan, I stay cool enough in hotter climates. Dont get this if you think you are going to be as cold as an eskimo in 100 degree weather. Be realistic. But if its 80-90 degrees and humid, this will keep you cooler than the rest. I bought one for my father and Im exploring other neck fans with cooling plates in similar price points. GREAT PRODUCT!

It fits right to your neck and has the ability to change how it fits to your neck. It has fans facing up and down and a cooking in the back it’s incredible. I run hot and this by far was worth every Penny!!!!

So the people that complained about this are nuts. I’m a nurse and run around all day long. My face and neck get hot and then I get sweaty especially with a mask on. Wish I knew about this long ago. So it isn’t going to AC your whole body. If you are expecting that don’t buy it. But since I have purchased a cheaper neck fan in the past I noticed the back of the neck would get really hot making me hotter. In steps this product. The cold spot on the back of neck was a game changer. My only complaint is I wish it would stay charged longer, BUT with it on high and the cold spot it does last the full two hours and it does charge quickly. So it does what it says! Worth every penny!

My husband rolls his eyes every time I get something like this but boy did he have to eat some crow! I suffer from hot flashes throw this around your neck and it is a life saver. We also live in the Deep South very hot and humid and some days we work in buildings with no air and have used these little portable air conditioners the last few weeks and even my rolling eyes husband said “These make a huge difference.” Hubby has been showing these off to clients, neighbors and friends and everyone he shows said they are getting one. The cooling plate on the neck is something really special, cooling just the back of your neck really helps cool down your entire body. I will say I have long hair and the portable air conditioner has tried to suck in my hair but it was not bad, did not rip my hair out I just have to make sure my hair stays behind my shoulder while wearing or a clip would be perfect. *Note the case in the picture is a separate item and is not included with the portable air conditioner.

I bought this, then set it aside. Then one day as I was packing for a normal medical procedure. I decided to add my Coolify at last minute. Long story short, the one and only hospital for hundreds of miles covering 3 States is criminally Incompetent. In morning parts of the hospital the rooms are like ovens and hallways like ice boxes. Everyone gets sicker and 1/3 of over all patients just.....leave. mostly after a 7 hour wait just to be put in another hot airless room. The only hope, that I would tell them how to buy this Coolify on Amazon. Among my many trips back to this Petri dish, I have begun seeing others with a Coolify of their own, and being asked about them. From a sick old woman, To the Inventor and Manufacturing Co. Than you, the Petri Dish Hospital should thank you too.
