WH-1000MX5 is on the high-end tier of Sony’s headphones lineup so there is no doubt that its audio quality is superb. I like the old design better, to be honest. Nearly 99% of the headphone is made out of plastic, which makes it feels cheap. But the plus side is it’s super lightweight and flexible. The battery life is just as amazing as its predecessors. I use this headphone a lot, and it can easily go on for 2 days straight under my usage.

Great headphones overall they were very light but im my honest opinion I like better the AirPods Max because they sound more loud and the spacial audio and I feel the the max are more crisp in sound than the xm5. very sand that I have to return it because I really was looking forward to keep it

Coming from the XM3 headphones, I find the XM5 better in every way where it matters. For me, they are far more comfortable, with larger earcups that no longer touch my ears and somehow reduced pressure on my head overall. The headband is improved for me, though this is one area that may differ for people, so ymmv. ANC is far better than in the XM3 and the adaptive nature means that I dont have to do anything to get the benefit in different environments. With the XM3, I never made changes to the ANC settings, so this is a big improvement. Sound is superb, acoustically nuanced with great sound separation, spaciousness, and tight response. You may want to adjust the EQ to your specific preferences, though it is balanced and brighter than the XM3 enough that is makes the former headset sound muddy after listening to the XM5 headset. I know most reviewers have complained about the case and Im bewildered by that response. Its not that much larger than the prior case in height and width, is a bit thinner with a taper from the cup at the bottom to the band at the top and stays more securely in place in my laptop bag as a result. Perhaps this is an issue for smaller bags if there isnt and extra room, though in my case, this was an improvement for my travel needs along with no longer having to bother folding and unfolding the headphones every time I use them. All around, I love all the improvements made and highly recommend the upgrade, especially if coming from the XM3.

I own both Beats solo3 and it, and I have to say, they feel completely different! The bass of Beats is more professional, but the XM5 is lighter and completely covers the ears, so I wont feel uncomfortable wearing it for a long time. This time I choose XM5!(I didnt give 5 stars because there is a small hole in the earphone wrap, so I cant give it a perfect score)

BOSEs QC45 noise cancellation is better than SONYs, I can still hear the noise of children, but I cant hear it at all when I wear BOSEs QC45, but the sound quality of the headphones is very good.Ill keep it because I need a wired headset.

I have the WH-1000XM5 and WH-1000XM4. The noise cancellation is far, far better in the M5 version. I miss the voice prompts of the M4. Both sound similar. I gave away the M4s.

Well these headphones are not spectacular they get the job done. The phone call quality is much better and I personally think the sound is better but not by much. The design is not that special and basically everything that was on it before is on it now. I do not like that the auto pause feature doesnt work that well. They need to just remove speak to chat because it really doesnt work that well. They are very comfortable has excellent multi-point connection. Overall these are great headphones if you have the XM4 I would say upgrade if you would like to have better call quality but other than that you dont need to upgrade. If you want to upgrade I would wait until they go on sale or you can get them on a payment plan.

They are very nice comfortable headphones with great sound quality but tue size is definitely too much, I love the headphones but the size gets on my nerves thats my only problem

They feel cheap and the ear pieces don’t feel that comfortable. The head piece is a bit uncomfortable after a bit of time. I don’t like having to long hold a power button. These should auto detect. I got these for my pc because air pod max and windows don’t play feature complete. Compare this product to air pod max and max stand and it doesn’t come close. So I wish this product was more comfortable, had now power switch, and had a dock with magnetic charging.

I really like the headphones but the band is a bit big (trust me my heads not small) so anytime I’m doing a work out on my back or stomach down they fall off and it get annoying. In addition to this any work outs that your arms go above your head will trigger the touch feature and skip your tracks
