> 3 dayI have stored various games on this SSD. The access rate has greatly improved over a WD Black 2TB HDD. I am using a Asus M16 laptop and this SSD increased my storage space 3 fold. The install was very quick with no hiccups. Once drive was in and laptop cover back on, I started laptop and went into UFEI and it was listed as a drive. I then started windows and went into windows disk management. I selected the drive and formatted it and VIOLA! New drive working! This is an excellent SSD.

Greater than one weekI have a notebook computer with an M.2 Gen 3 slot. I wanted a 2 TB drive that was energy efficient, both to keep heat down and to help battery life. This one is fast and draws less power than others.

Greater than one weekI wanted to write a brief review of this SK Hynix Gold 500GB that I just bought. There has been some question about whether these work with MacBooks. I can report that as of December 2022 the stick I purchased worked perfectly with a Sintech short adapter. The firmware was up to date out of the box. I installed it into a mid-2014 MacBook Air 13 inch and my read-write speeds were immediately doubled. Battery life has been unaffected. I purchased it directly from the Hynix store on Amazon.

01-11-2024The speed for the price, especially with that 15% coupon is a great value. My ONLY complaint is... why that green PCB. But for the cost I cant knock a star off for that. Other people have posted the performance numbers, you wont be disappointed!

> 3 dayGreat price for an M.2 drive however it was not compatibly with my asus motherboard so its running at the same speed of my ssd drive. Before you buy one check with your mb mfg to get the right one for your mb. Ill use this as my data drive since I cant return it.
