> 3 dayCheck out the storagereview.com review of this guy - theres a great chart showing how the random read performance (arguably the most important metric for day to day use) was in a close second place behind the much more expensive 970 pro, and soundly ahead of the WD SN750, 970 evo plus, crucial P5. (Also - check out the Houdini benchmark where it places near the top of the pack, only behind Intels optane drives.) For the same price or less than those, this drive to me is an awesome buy. That performance is backed up by my CrystalDiskMark results, showing some impressive random performance, ahead of benchmarks Ive seen for the competition. My only complaint was that they didnt include a mounting screw in the box, which would have been very helpful. I also liked the eco-friendly packaging! Hoping this drive will last me a long long time.

Greater than one weekI bought this for an external enclosure but after reading specs and doing a speed test I decided to upgrade my laptop drive and use the old one in the enclosure. Great drive! Company website has free migration software cloning your old drive.

> 3 dayGets Faster? Rated @ 3500 read, 3200 write. I only put it in a couple of days ago. Tested on Asrock B550 windows 7... ran a test just after install and was just a tad slower than speeds shown here- but it was still over the rated speeds for 500GB. During this test there were other programs running and it was faster than just after install. I used the hynix macrium tool to clone my boot drive from a 250GB 970 EVO plus to the 500GB Hynix drive on a PCIe adapter, think it took less than a minute. It was the quickest clone Ive done. I was on the fence about another EVO plus or this drive, same price. But random speeds are supposed to quicker on the hynix. Still have to wait to see if it holds up like a samsung, but its on par or better speedwise. I see mac is unsupported, but with new firmware samsung is. This doesnt figure in for me though, and the hynix is rated for 500 TBW against samsungs 300 TBW for the same size drive. Its perplexing but the hynix doesnt show up in Crystal Disk info - but it does show up for speed testing.

Greater than one weeklove it, easy to install... though its a bit expensive from the other M2 SSD but its faster than any M2 SSD around so i guess its worth the price..

> 3 dayThe only thing that messed me up was making this my boot drive. I wish I had known how easy it could have been! So much frustrating could have been avoided haha I love this thing

> 3 dayIts a really good drive and super easy to install. If youre still using regular solid state or hard drives definitely consider upgrading to this or another M.2 NVME
