> 3 dayIve listened to these on my Samsung note 9, on my PC with onboard crystal sound 2 audio, on a sound blasterx g6 dac/amp, and plugged into my topping d50 dac + topping a30 amp. In all instances these headphones sound great (assuming you give it enought volume) but you will see a big boost in fidelity when using a dedicated dac/amp. When comparing my audio-technica adg1 vs the Sennheiser 598 SE, I noticed the 598s were muddy in the mid range and lacked detail, and overall soundstage in comparison. Comparing the 660s vs the audio-technicas I noticed 660s had even more detail and clarity, which I wasnt expecting to be so noticeable. Furthermore that muddiness in the 598 SE were nowhere to be found here. These headphones reveal details in my music collection that I never heard before--this is true for lossless music files and low quality mp3s alike. Vocals are crystal clear, instrument separation is phenomenal, and the bass is tight (something the adg1 was lacking). And while the soundstage isnt as wide as my audio-technica ath-adg1 (ath-ad700x) it is a very natural soundstage with very, very accurate imaging. If you close your eyes and place yourself in the room youll be able to point out where each instrument was placed.

> 3 dayBest headset Ive ever used, and I would highly recommend wired over wireless... you cant compete with wired headsets.. learned that mistake buying the GSP670 headset which would have heaps of distortion when used along with a wireless mouse and keyboard... I didnt know they are all trying to use the same wireless frequency resulting in a lot of distortion... so for that reason I basically had to use that headset plugged in to avoid the fuzzy feedback... dont make the mistake I did, and spend a little more for unmatched sound quality. I use these for gaming and video editing and they are amazing. Love these Sennheiser 660s headphones. FYI - they are smaller than you might think, and with open back, your ears never get too warm. Thankfully this doesnt compromise the noise cancelling.

> 3 dayPofessional looking and well made, but HD 560S sounds better, imo. Returned right away for HD 560S.

12-11-2024Ive owned 660Ss for years now. Theyre so expensive Ive only taken them out for listening to music from a Bifrost DAC/Magni headphone amp. Ive loved the quality of the sound. Im too simple to use audiophile jargon. They just sound right.

> 3 dayThese headphones clamp a bit too hard on my head and not super comfortable. They do sound pretty good especially considering their relatively low price. That said, I ended up sending them back - I prefer Grado 325s for general music listening and HiFiMans HE6ses for acoustic and jazz. Funny story: the clerk at the Whole Foods Amazon return desk couldnt believe I was returning them ;)

> 3 dayThese headphones are for a childs head... they will crush your head, because the top curve is absolutely terrible... I dont understand why such expensive headphones are so incredibly uncomfortable... its actually been giving me massive headaches, migraines, and jaw pain because they are so poor made. The discomfort makes them garbage...

> 3 dayA fine quality German built headphones (250 ohm). Im driving them with a Bryston amp. I thought the sound was good in the midrange and bass. The highs to me were soft or dull sounding. Could be my old 68 year old ears, though! They just did not sound clean to me. Additionally, the soundstage width was not as wide compared to my BEYERDYNAMIC DT-880 headphone (250 ohm). Of course, all sound quality is subjective. Every audio component has its own sound signature and will drive a headphone differently. So...... I suggest you give them both a try and make up your own mind. There is no bad choice. Choose what sounds best to you on your own system. HAPPY LISTENING.

> 3 dayGreat sound, good build quality, needs an amp to sound loud.

Greater than one weekI love these headphones. sound very clear and crisp. vocal is very close as if the singer is singing right next to me. I also like that it has relatively low impedance (150ohms) compared to HD600 or HD6XXs 300ohm impedance. an amp is a plus but you dont have to have it. its loud enough when directly connected to a mobile device or your PC. I also own HD6XX for that one I definitely need an amp.

> 3 dayComfortable to wear and provide a good sound quality all around. Satisfying product to use. Even though I already have three or four pairs of headphones, but having this gives another type of sound style.
