we bought the 8 pack recently for packing moving boxes. Its really easy to find the end on the roll. You dont spend forever scratching and peeling only to have it tear and break and split. Peels up easy and in one piece. AND super strong. worth the extra money just for that! We didnt try it with a dispenser, just the roll and a pair of scissors.

This tape works very well. Not cheap, but the best for packaging. Cheap stuff not worth the money.

Good stuff. Reliable, solid adhesion. Use it all the time to send packages to family members overseas. Have had no problems and shipments arrive still well packaged.

As always 3m products are top grade and work as promised. Their tape sticks well and stays fastened over a long period in storage. Also great for mailing... keeps even heavy boxes sealed even after the Post Office gets hold of them.

This is probably the best tape Ive ever used. The adhesive is very strong and the tape is as well. It keeps its strength over time. I use a lot of packing tape all the time, and this version lives up to its name.

This tape was a bargain on Amazon. Previously, I had purchased one roll of a competitor brand, and it would not stick to the box. Then I found this 8 roll. When you are getting ready to move, dont skimp on imitations. This is the best. My tv boxes held up, even during the bumpy ride. Highly recommend!

This is the best tape out there. Use it around the house all the time - not just for shipping. They have a small inexpensive hand held plastic dispenser with a tear feature, so I keep it handy and actually have two - one upstairs and one downstairs. No need for scissors with the small dispenser, which works well all the time. The dispensers have lasted already for a few years.

Ive tried other brands, but none stay stuck as well as Scotch! In warm conditions or very cold conditions, Scotch Packaging Tape adheres well and stays in place. I use if for shipping packages of all sizes and weights, and Ive never had a customer tell me that the taped seams worked loose. Tape is a bit heavier (thicker) than some of the others, but is easy to cut and apply, even with the economical plastic dispensers. Using Scotch Packaging Tape, I pack it, and ship it, and have no worries about the tape failing in shipment! After trying the other brands, I now place my trust in Scotch!

This is one of those things where you get what you pay for! The Scotch may be a little bit more expensive, but its the only one Ive ordered off Amazon that actually sticks! If you want something that works without any extra effort on your part to make it stick, get this!!! If you dont want to have to go back and re-tape heavy boxes a few hours later, buy this! If you dont mind having the packing tape come off the bottom of a heavy box, or having to spend several minutes rubbing (fingernails and finger pressure) the tape onto each box, buy the generics. After trying to go w/several different cheaper brands that SEEMED the same, I gave in and bought this. I wont be buying any other brand from here on out.
