Extremely confusing setup. Do not buy.

Ordered to use as a convenient, small, portable bootable back-up solution and so far, I have veery happy. Drive is super-fast and has worked without a glitch so far for daily back-ups.

love the portability, quality and metal case.

First, the case was not included. That was an extra purchase. Just to be clear it’s in the pics only because I highly recommend at least a small “EVA” case since it is light weight and probably wouldn’t hold up to being crushed or dropped. The case recommended was perfect.

These are fast, have sturdy connectors, and travel nicely. I have one 1TB for the fastest Time Machine backups ever, and one for my music drive. The Sandisk ones are probably the only other external brand Id buy, and Samsung has the best warranty, reputation, and market share.

If you purchase this for PS5 it doesnt work how you think. You still have to copy the game to your console in order to play. So it works the same as a regular hdd. Ps4 is better where you could launch game from hard drive. Very disappointed. Wait for official PS5 SSD to release. Wasted $270.

Super petit ssd... Rien a dire

Had the chance to buy more recent model but saw all the comments and found that the older version has its fame even until now for a good reason. Also, really like the password system that can be implemented at the start of use in any device which just adds an extra security protection. Never even gets near warm nor hot even with constant usage. Definitely could say it is better than the san disk one which gets super hot even without actually using it to transfer data.

Is what it is and works great.
