    Greater than one week

    The first time I used this drive I did notice that it got very hot. Im not sure why but upon subsequent uses it has gotten warm but never so hot that it slowed itself down or came close to causing any internal damage to the drive. I did not update the firmware and I formatted the drive as ExFAT.

    I was pretty shocked when receiving this hard drive. So super small and yet a terabyte of space. I hooked it up to my iMac via USB-C and use it as a Time Machine back up drive. I was able to backup 350GB in less than 15 minutes. Works great. Super happy with this one. You cant go wrong with the Samsung. Great packaging and comes with 2 different cables depending on your needs.

    Using the T7 Samsung Portable Mass Storage SSD to store all of my PC games and it has been working very well. Have to sometimes re-download the game after unplugging it, but sometimes I dont have to, trying to figure out why. Other than that, definitely recommend it to PC gamers who dont have enough storage on their computer and need an alternative.

    It is a nice hard drive with no software to manage security for it, etc if you are using a Mac that is on the most current Monterey OS version. That OS has been out for months now. Yet Samsung has not updated their software install. It won’t work - and all their notes for fixes only talk about the previous version of Mac OS and are useless for Monterey. And I am not going to waste 2 hours trying to jury rig the install. Samsung get your act together.
