    I have used Samsung drives in the past. Simply place the drive into an external enclosure and run the Samsung Data Migration software and your boot drive is cloned to your new Samsung drive. Easy peasy. This drive ,the Samsung Data Migration and it seems any external nvme enclosere are not compatible. Windows sees the drive just fine but the data migration software does not. After searching for a compatible enclosure with no luck, I ended up getting Macrium Reflect software (free version) and it works great! I hope this saves you some time.

    The install of the SSD (500GB) was pretty easy in my Dell inspiron 15. The recognition of the SSD was spot on but the cloning gave me problems the first time then after hours of reading it installed easily with the Samsung Magician software. My boot up time went from about 3 min to 13 seconds and it still isnt getting the top speed of 2500 or 3500 (not sure). Im getting 1750. Very nice product!!!
