A good, fast and easy to install M.2 SSD! Definitely grab if on sale!

Finally settled to upgrade a whole new pc build for the cheap prices of nvmes (same price of sata ssd). Hard drives cannot open a gif or mp4 file without lagging by 20 secs bare minimum. Loading up on start up would take over 5 minutes or else if you start opening a program after signing in instantly, that program would white out with a windows not responding for close to a minute. After setting this thing up and now doing the most obnoxious thing which is transferring my old files/music/mp4/text documents onto a gigabyte b560m motherboard (go to bios io/ports>usb>enable> use eufi to boot windows 10 from usb without problems) everything I open from a music file to a video takes within milliseconds to load, th relief. Boots up in under 15 seconds and you can open your programs to do you work or game in under 30 seconds flat. I am using the stock settings, there is an option to run the nvme at 100% of its performance ( i do not advise unless you have good case cooling due to running the thing over 75c at all times) anyway at stock it stays under 45c all day.

It is an OK drive. It seems slower than 970EVO. Many options are not available in SAMSUNG Magician software.

Ive used three of these now in various builds and they have all been good quality. Fast connection (as one would expect from an M.2 drive) and seem to be long-lasting. My oldest one is going on 6 years now.

First off This is a good solid drive. However, it wasnt quite the upgrade I was hoping for. It does not have the extra memory for buffering the pro drives have. This does cause a slight loss of speed compared with the pro models. Most of this was taken care of by enabling the performance mode for the drive. In performance mode it does come closer to the pro model. For the normal computer user this drive is unbeatable for the price, its an amazing deal, but if youre a gamer like me, u may find yourself wishing you spent a little more to get the 980 pro, with the extra memory for buffering. It does make a difference in performance for games.

I got a pretty low price on this used 500gb 980. But I was still surprised that the package just came with the ssd itself in a plastic bag with no box or any thing else. Fortunately, it still working pretty well.

Great value and storage

Used for general storage on a newly built computer with M2 slot. Hope prices will come down on SSD storage so I can buy another.

Llevo un par de días usándolo y todo parece estar en orden, cumple su función, a diferencia de un M.2 de silicon power que empezó a fallar en unos meses, espero este no tenga ese tipo de problemas.
