14-11-2024Highly recommended, but due to this SSDs heatsink, make sure your PC has the clearance to accommodate it, and also to ensure proper airflow. If you can afford it, I recommend the top-of-the-line Samsung 990 Pro version of this with a heatsink. Heard this SSD is strongly recommended for the PS5 & the newest generation of desktop & mini PCs that support PCIe 4.0 NVMe/M.2 2280 format SSDs.

> 3 dayI have a MSI Tomahawk B450 mb which I thought was 4th gen accepting. My drive runs at half the speed advertised possibly due to the fact the mb is NOT Gen 4 capable... I could be missing a setting that would enable the drive but Ive looked, researched, youtubed any and all possibilities yet cant get it to perform as advertised. Probably need a B550 chip set.

> 3 dayJust built a new PC and my old NVME is a 950 Pro which I still use, 2500MBs/1400MBs or something like that and it actually exceeds those speeds. This drive was a hair under, within the margin of error. I have my POST time set to 2 seconds. With my other drive I would be in windows in about 6-7 seconds from turning on the power, but now Im in windows before my monitor even powers up, Id say 4 seconds. Crazy...

> 3 dayDid a bit of research on which SSD was a good fit for me in order to upgrade the memory in my PS5. This met all the needs was super easy to install and transfers info back and forth with the systems memory very quickly.

> 3 dayIve been using m.2 since the first generation! Make no mistake, ALL m.2 storage devices are FAST! this baby is simply a delightful indulgence. Do my apps/games run noticeably faster than first gen m.2? In most cases, no. But for file intensive operations, this device is a show off! And to be able to buy 2tb at less than $200 is a complete steal. Stop reading these reviews already and get one.
