Came sealed in Samsung box with Samsung stickers and labeling. 1st indication of something was wrong was that the drive was keyed as a M2 Sata versus a NVME drive. AFter installing anyhow drive recognizes as a Vaseky 820 60GB drive from AliExpress.

When looking for a new system drive for our deep learning machine, I had to go with Samsung and their EVO line. I was able to clone our old system drive to this and boot the first time. This thing is crazy fast, if you have an NVME slot on your motherboard, ditch the sata drives and go with this. Read/Write speeds are almost 6 times as fast as a sata SSD, which is insane consindering how fast sata SSDs are compared to the old HDDs with rotating platters. Dont think, just buy it.

I bought 2 500gb of these nvmes. 970 evo plus. My c drive failed yesterday- stuck in a boot loop to - not detected, then it would run for 5 minutes crash and not detected anymore. It also became very hot to the touch.

Got the drive , and couldnt even install it because they are too cheap to provide the screw to mount it . Now I have to buy a pack of 5 screws at a high markup price to even be able to use this product .

While you might be able to get a Mac to recognize this SSD, getting the firmware updates is a major hassle. Samsung does not support Mac products, so a Windows machine is required, or a download to a thumb drive or a DVD is required that is bootable. I have never been successful in getting Samsung Magician to load on a Mac Mini M2, which is needed to update firmware. I suggest buying another brand if you have Apple products. Samsung is Windows only.
