> 3 dayDrive is faster than the OEM Samsung that came std. in my Dell XPS laptop. I had to make changes in the BIOS settings for the drive. The management software was simple to install. If you are knowable of working on a PC and/or laptop you can install the drive with no problem. If you have never worked on installing PC or laptop hardware, it can still be done.

> 3 dayJust a heads up to anyone buying this drive Samsung switched out the Phoenix controller on this SSD and its using a in-house controller that offers poorer performance in certain tests and to top it off Samsung didnt change skus only way you can tell if you got the slower drive is by checking the model number on the drive itself. Personally I think the new drives should be cheaper if they offer slower performance.

> 3 dayI have not used one of these before and have been very impressed with the speed. My SSD is slow comparatively.

> 3 dayIf you are still on the fence about weather or not a SSD is better for you computer then and HDD. It is so much faster its crazy. For starters just your boot times are far lower when your OS is installed on an SDD let along an NVME SSD. Games run faster. As for the worry about the health/life span of the SSD that is also not something to be overly worried about as the tech has gotten much better over the years making these, at least in my opinion a no brainer! With all that being said, if price is a point of contention I understand that and would love to see their prices drop more making them far more affordable!

> 3 dayRemember that feeling of booting a box after replacing your mechanical drive with an SSD and thinking Holy Cow!!!? Well, this is another significant level up. Serious performance. I put one of these in a computer that build all the windows code for our product. Clean build went from 11 minutes to 57 seconds. To be fair, I also went to an 8th gen i7 from a 7th gen and new mobo but the difference is the drive absolutely. Super easy to install but I did have to update the bios to get it recognized (more of an issue the the mobo than the drive).

> 3 dayInstalled in a new computer with a Gen3 PCIe bus. Running Windows10 Pro and the speed is just stunningly fast. Now, all I wait on is the BIOS post. Right after the POST and BIOS logo, I am instantly presented with the login screen. Everything is so snappy and fast... very noticable, even if subjective, faster than my SSD.
