This is me coming from a laptop that had only one 2.5inch HDD. And the jump from that to a 970 Evo Plus for Windows boot is so jaw dropping. Im using this as the Windows boot drive and other programs so as not to clog it up with other things and potentially slowing it down (Thats what Ive been reading here and there on tech sites).

Unbelievable performance. You can see why so many tech review sites have recommended this even over the 970 Pro, as it can even perform a little better in some common uses cases.

Solo me funcionó una semana, la usé para instalar el sistema operativo y lo puede usar solo por unos días porque luego fallo y la BIOS no la quiso volver a reconocer. Devolví el producto por DHL y el día 26/08/2020 llegó a Amazon pero todavía no aparece como recibido en la página de Amazon, y le preocupa que dejen pasar la fecha límite para la devolución del dinero.

This is my second Samsung Evo NVME ssd. This time as a portable ssd using WAVLINK enclosure over thunderbolt. My read times externally are about just as good as my internal MacBook ssd, and write times are about half. I am very satisfied with performance as an external drive as it is comparable to buying Samsung X5 but for much less. A++++++++

Great upgrade for a compatible laptop. I suggest having a utility that will assist moving partitions from the old drive, bootable usb stick etc. Im ordering a external USB enclosure for my old drive so I can use it also. Rebuilding windows and loading apps is time consuming.

Updated my Dell XPS for additional storage. Easy migration from old ssd. Love the additional storage and speed is exceptional.

Remember that feeling of booting a box after replacing your mechanical drive with an SSD and thinking Holy Cow!!!? Well, this is another significant level up. Serious performance. I put one of these in a computer that build all the windows code for our product. Clean build went from 11 minutes to 57 seconds. To be fair, I also went to an 8th gen i7 from a 7th gen and new mobo but the difference is the drive absolutely. Super easy to install but I did have to update the bios to get it recognized (more of an issue the the mobo than the drive).

I bought this one for my daily work laptop, a Thinkpad X13 Yoga. It fits well and works great. The product is just manufactured sep 28. The temperature control needs to refine cz a drastic temperature rise would somewhat slows ur drive. Maybe a heatsink would work, But.a cant find that thin one to fit my laptop.

Since Im not a power user, the value/performance ratio is perfect for me. No standard hard drive can even come close to the speed of this SSD, so I cant imagine many use case scenarios where the faster model would be required. The Samsung Magician really is just that, taking care of firmware and maintenance needs in one app.
