SAMSUNG 970 EVO Plus SSD 1TB NVMe M.2 Internal Solid State Hard Drive, V-NAND Technology, Storage and Memory Expansion for Gaming, Graphics w/ Heat Control, Max Speed, MZ-V7S1T0B/AM

I got his product just a couple of days ago, so my review would obviously not include how this SSD handles itself after months of use. But for the moment at least, I am entirely satisfied with it even though Lately Samsung is not my favorite company (owing to the fact that my expensive 55 inch Plasma TV developed 4 horizontal lines and 1 vertical line just after my extended warranty expired). Still, I am hoping this product will fare better.

This is a fast M.2 drive, no disclaimers on that front, but note that the plus version gets hotter than it should under load quite easily. Would use an active cooling option if you have more than one directly connected to your motherboard. I ended up removing the heatsinks on my motherboard and adding M-2 ones with active fans for better thermal performance. Works without issue now and 20C cooler.

I was hesitant to buy this product because I wanted as a main Hard Drive replacing a 4.5”

So much speed. So easy to install. So worth the money. Installed directly on my motherboard in my first M.2 slot. It took less than 30 minutes to clone my hard drive onto this Samsung 970 EVO Plus and I was able to boot up from my M.2. My CPU and RAM are great and with the 970 as my main drive everything is blistering fast. I guess Im going to have to get a second one now. I highly recommend the M.2 life to anyone and the 970 EVO Plus will not disappoint. Oh, and youll love the five second or less boot up time.

Replaced a 512 GB Samsung 950 Pro with this upgrade. Installed easily using cloning software. Very fast.
