I am not really sure exactly what this does. I needed to upgrade my desktop computer with some new components and my Tech told me to order this for him. It was shipped fast and he installed it in my computer along with a new video card and a couple other things and the computer was good to go again.

I dont own the EVO Plus, I own two 970 Pros. However, there is much traffic on the web warning agaInst the use of the EVO Plus in a Macintosh. Quite simply they do not work at this time. However, the earlier model EVO and the Pro do work well with the Macintosh. Buyer Beware.

This 1 TB storage basically tripled my storage over all. So I set it up as a secondary with a path to it from my desktop… works just fine. I do have a few games on my laptop and for me it works great…. Is it crazy fast, nope but it is very stable and would be excellent for a mirror RAID in the future. But for now it’s just a high capacity storage for what ever I need and this frees up the main for dual boot into a LINUX distro. All in all it a great SSD for the money, no it’s not a 980 PRO, but I don’t need that for my daily driver laptop.

Bought it with the intention of replacing my mac internal drive but realized that it started freezing up and I would have to keep restarting it in order to have work efficiently. Spoke to the manufacturer tech and was told it’s not to be used for booting my Mac.

I installed this into my 7 year old mother board that supported m.2 drive, and loaded windows 10 on to it, and it made my SSD look like trash.
