Now my system boots in half the time.

For newer pc users like me, save yourself the headache and disconnect your other harddrives to force your motherboard to find the nvme. Once found installation was easy. Make sure to install the driver for the nvme off Samsung’s website. Feel free to install their software suite as well (although not required).

I tried to make it a boot drive but I couldn’t figure out how to only copy specific files and my pc won’t recognize it as a storage device or anything at all :(

You cannot go wrong with this chip. Make sure you have the compatible hardware before ordering. This chip is blazingly fast. On FreeBSD this thing absolutely screams on the benchmarks. I have gotten 40 GigaBytes per second not GigaBit GigaBytes when using the pcie adapter card for both read and write . I have a few of these and they have served me well for years. Samsung delivers big time on this one. Oh and for those of you at home keeping score this drive is made in Thailand.

it take then 3 to 5 days just to get it mailed and so slow. as for the ssd i love it . so show around best will ship it faster

The drive itself is fine and I recommend it. Problem is, I ordered two of these drives and Amazon sent me two boxes. Opened one and it had a drive in it that matched the serial number on the box..no problem. Opened the second box and boom its empty. Called customer service immediately and all they could tell me was that they were going to investigate and I should call back in a week. Ive spent tens of thousands of dollars on Amazon over the years and this is the first time Ive had something like this happen. So, Ive got to sit here and wait to finish my build for a week while they figure out how they managed to send me an empty box for $500. They damn straight better replace it. So disappointed.

Upgraded my legion gaming laptop with this and it’s ridiculously fast.
