Greater than one weekVERY fast, I was shocked to see it live up to the advertised speed. I just wish computer processors were fast enough to actually give those speeds in realistic use cases, but hey I guess its pretty future-proofed.

> 3 dayIm using this in a 2015 15 MacBook Pro. Of course Macs come with a proprietary mounting system so I had to purchase a Sintech adapter as well. It took me some time to figure this out but I put the HD in an enclosure and the upgraded the firmware on it first. Point of note, Samsungs black magic software did not work for me in upgrading the firmware. I had to download the firmware from Samsungs site and use a third party app to upgrade the software. Then while mounted to the Mac I formatted it to APFS and then used carbon copy cloner to make a carbon copy of my HD. Overall its been great but despite having upgraded the firmware Im still having some overheating issues. It was more significant when first installed but is less now. Currently running at 140F with a 6% load on the CPU.

Mr. Fabian Kris Sr.
Greater than one weekI bought two of these drives for my notebook: a 1TB for the OS, programs, and work files, and a 2TB for holding games and general files.

Greater than one weekThis drive is a M.2 PCIe 3rd generation 4x. There are three software you must download from Samsung web site: Data Migration, Magician, and Samsung Windows 10 SSD storage driver. To Clone your operating system and to perform the Samsung Data Migration, I used the TDBT Model: SuperC which is a USB 3.0 to USB C and NVMe M.2 interface. The reason for this, my device did not have a second PCIe 3 NVMe SSD slot. Before clonning, have the SSD drive installed before running the Data Migration software. Once the cloning procedure is completed your system will do shut down power off. Remove all power from your device and swap out the SSD drives. DO not try to turn on and boot your system with the SSD in the TDBT interface because its not going to boot from USB unless you go into Bios boot drive startup and you do not want two active operating system on at one time. Once you have the drives swapped out, boot up your system and log in. Then proceed to install the Samsung Windows 10 SSD storage driver. Next install the Samsung Magician to perform monitor, test, and performance optimization on your new SSD. Magician will also help you set up important feature like Over Provisioning. OP by default is 10% of your drive space this will help keep the performance and extend the life of your SSD. The read and write speed specs only shows when using the Magician Software and i found that most performance SSD speed test app do not show same exact results as advertised.
