Samsung has been my goto storage for gaming and general storage, also in my experience the most reliable

I installed this in an older Dell computer running Linux. The system serves as a development platform for embedded applications. So far, there have been no problems and the speed improvement over a mechanical hard drive is very noticeable.

My Laptop is very fast now. If youve never installed this, I recommend you hire a computer technician to do it for you. Your computer will be like new, super fast.

This is the first time I have seen packaging like this for a new Samsung drive, SSD or otherwise. Bizarre. Learning how to identify counterfeits. Dont know that there is a way to identify refurbished devices sold as new. The plain white box suggests that not much effort was made to disguise any subterfuge, so I suppose thats kind of good.

It took one hour to clone my old HDD using the Samsung software and less than 20 minutes to swap it out in my Dell Inspiron. Best decision I ever made. Laptop went from 5-10 minute boot and able to surf the internet to less than 60 seconds on my Windows11 Core i5 laptop. Programs like MS Word, Excel and Mail load almost instantly. Super happy.

Boot up speed increased as expected. Software made moving information from my disk drive to the new SSD easy.

I used this to upgrade a friends fairly old laptop. A pain to get to on HP laptop. Had to take it apart. However, everything worked. Apparently, this HPs USB does not have enough power for the old hard drive. I had to power it separately to get things to work doing the disk cloning, but work it did. After a couple of reboot attempts, Window 10 booted. It now boots from off in about 15 seconds. My friend is very happy. This is my third EVO and Ive never been disappointed.

After struggling with a super slow 2012 MacBook Pro, I decided to give upgrading the hard drive a shot.

I ordered this SSD for a new PC build. I installed the hardware and booted from a Win 10 USB drive to install the system. Allowed Windows to partition the drive and went on my merry way. After going through all of the Windows install and updates, installing system drivers, etc., I discovered that my system was reporting only 500GB of storage. Certainly this cant be right, I bought a 2TB SSD. After racking my brain and expending a lot of effort to try to figure out what happened, I re-examined the box. The manufacturers label on the box indeed says 500GB. The sticker that was affixed by God knows who says 2TB (see the photos, unbelievable!). I certainly paid the $279 for a 2TB drive but received a 500GB mislabeled as a 2TB. Even if I do eventually receive what I ordered, it means whoever was responsible for this has wasted a lot of my time.
