Rosemarys Baby

Story and Acting were really well done updating one of my favorites, Rosemarys Baby.

Ive seen the classic and this series remake is pretty awesome.

Not a bad movie, just slow going. Good acting decent plot. Needed to be fill witj more action and drama.

underwhelmed

I was disappointed as soon as I saw the lead actors not that they where not good actors dont believe they fit the part and threw the movie off for me from the get go and found it hard to get into honestly didnt finish was kinda mad at my self for spending the 7 dollars for part 1

As good as the original. Super

Kept me riveted and entertained. I loved the Paris setting

I love anything with Zoe Saldana but I thought the entire cast did an outstanding job! I love the modern take on an old, classic:)

Since I love the original and I love ZS, I was hoping for a great remake, I was wrong. This movie is a disaster, not even comparing it with the original, this thing is just all over the place. There was no time for any real character development because there was so much going on. It was like a three ring circus where you cant really concentrate on anything because there is so much distraction coming from all sides. Not only that but it is just not believable on any level, actors were all ill-suited for their roles, especially ZS as Rosemary, she just seems like way too strong and intelligent a person to ever allow one bit of this to happen to her. She does not have the naivety expected of this role so it is just not at all fitting. This new Guy just seems like way too nice of a person to ever do something like that. The original Guy was someone you could see being an underhanded snake from the get go and that Rosemary being too innocent to see it in him, it was perfect casting. The story was too complicated in this remake, just too much stuff going on. It was all just unnecessary junk that did not need to be there, it did not add anything but confusion to the story. There were a ton of bizarre characters added as well, like the cat, the weird dog guy and Satan showing up for cameos throughout the film, just made no sense. As a stand alone film its only problem would be that it was too long and complicated and boring but as a remake it was a disaster. The absolutely brilliant original movie never needed a remake and this flop proved it.

I love this version better than the original for the simple reason that Rosemarys baby looks human NOT like a scaly creature with demonic eyes and hooves and claws.
