Rain Design 10032 mStand Laptop Stand, Silver (Patented)

I bought this mstand from Amazon last week and was hugely impressed when it arrived--the construction quality is top shelf: solid and thick shaped aluminum construction. It looks like what you would expect if it had been made by Apple (though it wasnt). The look and feel is exactly like the stand part of a desktop Imac. The rubber grips hold my macbook pro very securely and the stand itself is virtually invisible once your macbook is atop. I use a full mac keyboard plugged into the usb and the keyboard is in the perfect ergonomical position on my desk, while the laptop is elevated so the screen is also at the perfect angle and distance. I tend to still use the touchpad on the macbook pro face, though I also bought a wireless touchpad to put next to the full-sized keyboard on my desk. (And if you choose the wireless touchpad, dont be surprised if you, like me, had to upgrade your OS--for less than $30--in order to get the bluetooth touchpad to work right). I have no more leaning into my laptop because the screen is too low (and often at the wrong angle, pointing more at my chest). I can also pull the entire apparatus closer to me, having the full keyboard slightly underneath the front elevated edge of the macbook, making for a perfect no stress setup.

I was going to buy this from Apple, but found a lighting deal for it. I think the stand is great, and I spend endless hours on my computer as I am a software engineer.

I was having trouble sitting at my desk to long and began having some neck/back pain - this fixed that by raising my line of vision. Not only do I have better posture now - but this makes my desk/home office look 10X better than before. Now my laptop and second monitor are on the same level and It couldnt look better.

Using this with a 15 Macbook Pro and I couldnt be happier.

I saw these in design firms all over place so I picked one up to try out.

Sturdy, sleek, and durable. I will be buying a second for my other office! I really like it a lot.

I wish I had read two of the posts in the 6% group. Both mentioned my biggest complaints. The bounciness and the limited adjustment factor.
