Greater than one weekI hardly ever write a review, but I feel I must. I had no idea what I was missing--thought that nail clippers were essentially all the same. BUT THEY ARE NOT. These scissors are the most humane scissors! No fraying and very sharp. My cat has been trying to tell me something: the other scissors create claw problems not only during cutting but after cutting. These do not twist the nail and they do not leave a nail that will fray. Get these. Spend the extra bit and make your beloved cats life easier and better. My two cents. :)

> 3 dayThese trimmers are super sharp. Cats cooperate because the clip is silent and vibration free.

07-11-2024I dont know what people are complaining about ( the few that are) these are great. I think cause they are small its a little awkward to hold at first but I think they wouldnt work as well if they were bigger. My cats dont like getting their nails cut like most cats do but they handled it pretty good and cutting the nails were super easy. Absolutely no force needed and didnt need to cut into one nail twice

> 3 dayHave a very very old cat whose nails do not wear down - at all. Tried regular clippers but nipped her once too many times. She squirms so its hard not too. Was ready to take her into a cat groomer to get it done then I tried these. It still takes some work because she squirms but with the safe guards built into these clippers, I dont nip her anymore which makes us both happy.

Greater than one weekI generally oppose clipping a cats nails, and would never declaw one. One of my old cats, has gotten slower and he no longer wears down his rear foot nails, they were getting long and hindering his walking, and catching clumps from the litter box. 1st i trimmed just the really long nails, he was walking better with cleaner feet. as the nails grew out, I did all the rear nails, for an even better result. in the past I have used a dog clipper on dogs, with good result but some crunch, not an issue with these on a cat. These are sharp, cut fast and smooth, clear easy to follow directions on the package. 1st time I tacod him in a towel, second time just a nice hug was all he needed. these are for cat sized nails though I would bet work with other similar nail sized pets.

> 3 dayIve had a number of different and inexpensive nail trimmers for my cats over a lot of years, and I concur with several other reviews here that this is the best one Ive used. It is a bit more heavy duty and much sharper than prior implements Ive had. Cutting my cats nails with this is significantly gentler for her as theres no twisting by her or me - it just slices through the nail effortlessly - and she tolerates it without any squirming. So while this item is more expensive than others online here, its very well worth it. In retrospect I should have looked into upgrading to this a long time ago.

> 3 dayLove these clippers! We have a lot of cats, and most of them behave like we are trying to kill them whenever we need to trim their claws. These clippers are so thin and sharp, I do the first five claws before the cat even knows whats happening! And they very easily even cut nicely through those fat old-cat claws. Sure, they are more expensive, but worth every penny! I wished I had found them years ago, I would have saved our cats and myself a lot of stress!
