Pro-Tec Street Knee and Elbow Pad Set

This is well-made, heavy-duty gear. As a 57-year-old just learning to inline skate, I needed solid gear, and this fills the bill.

So small I couldnt attach the straps with the Velcro. Returned within the hour. (Side note- construction type hard shell pads from Menards were perfect for both knee and elbows @ $6.99 each pair.

I wanted to buy higher quality gear after my first purchase of cheaper option began to wear out. I returned another more expensive and respected brand initially because they were ENORMOUS! I don’t mean that they didn’t fit…the knee pads were the size of my head, bent at a weird angle that made it hard to straighten your leg, and just looked stupid. I took a chance on these—got the pack of knee pads and elbow pads—and am so much happier. They fit perfectly (used the measurements from the company/product website), have strong construction with hefty Velcro straps to make everything feel secure, and seem like they’d provide much more protection in a fall. Dual straps on the knee pads wrap around for a secure fit. I also like that the elbow pad is open on the inside to make it a bit more breathable. First wear, there were a couple seams that seemed to rub a little bit, but we’re easily fixed by adjusting. In less than a week, they’ve broken in and feel great.

Pro-tec makes good pads. The quality is obvious. As a middle-aged longboarder, I feel very secure with these pads. Pretty sure theyve already saved me from having my funny bone hit the edge of a walk. I got this set because I needed large for both my elbows and knees, and this was a better value than ordering separately. The only thing thats missing are wristguards, but I already have some. Ill probably get some slide gloves eventually instead.

Comfortable and fits well

Protection... better than most pads out today. I have had them save me a few times skating the ramp/skatepark Size... I have chicken legs and calves. Went with a large even though I am 511 and 190lbs. Most people said to go bigger but its about your leg size, not your total weight. Top velcro fits perfect. Bottom is slightly loose.
