The leash is long enough that I dont trip over my Greyhound during our walks. There are a couple of areas on the sidewalks were we are right next to the traffic traveling fast. The short handle gives me the security to know my dog will not be able to bolt into the street if startled. the clasp appears to be very sturdy. Would purchase again.

My Malamute/Shepherd mix likes to pulls like a mad woman, and also jumps 3 feet in the air whenever she sees a squirrel. This leash is long enough to give her extra jumping room :) But the short handle makes it so I can stop her if I need to. Its very secure! I also try to buy leashes with padded handles, and this is been the most comfortable Ive gotten so far. Also, the color! I bought the purple one - and it is very vibrant. Couldnt be happier with my purchase. I might adopt more dogs just so I can buy more of these leashes. JK, Ill adopt my doggos because they are the best.

I love this leash. As I have just adopted an 8 month old pitbull mix I knew I need a strong leash to assist in controlling Rudy. This is the leash. I looked in pet stores and just couldnt find the right one. The double handles give me prime control of Rudy. My wife uses it to walk Rudy up to the bus stop to meet our daughter. Rudy loves the leash too -- I just pick it up, say sit and Rudy is ready to go!

Im very happy with these leashes. They arrived on time and were exactly as advertised. Well made and comfortable to hold. I would absolutely recommend them.

We just got the leash a few days ago, but so far we are loving this dog leash. The leash is very durable and cannot be chewed through by our 7 month old puppy, which was a problem with the leash we were using before. The more proximal opening for your hand is crucial for when you need to be closer to your dog. One of the downsides of having a thicker leash is that it is less flexible so it is very difficult to wrap the leash around your hand to make it smaller, meaning that the second hand area is very important. I would recommend this product to others.

After 30+ years of having dogs, this is the hands down best leash ever. It is of such nice quality. Thick and durable. I love the 2 handles. When walking the dogs on the way to the dog park, my dogs want a bit of leash to roam and smell the scents. On the way back from the park, when they are calmer, I use the short handle and they walk right next to me. The handles are nicely padded and comfortable in my hands. Other, thinner leashes can dig into the hands if your dog pulls hard. This leash handle is thick and gives better control without digging into the hand. I would buy this again, but honestly, it is so sturdy that I think its going to last me for years.

I wish it were a little shorter at the bottom handhold. I cant hold my dog at a heel with this and Im pretty tall...

I like the color and the quality of the leash. My only suggestion is that they make the handles round, because it is very uncomfortable to hold the way it is made now.

bought this to use for my 5 mth GSD, hes still learning to walk on leash and it will be ongoing training for him since he challenges me every chance he gets. He is strong for his age and a puller (we are working on that) and this leash is made to withstand that constant pulling. Its well made, thick and durable. I love the extra handle, it helps me get a good grip and reel him in tight when a car is coming or when I need him to heal. I believe this will be suitable for him even when he is full grown as well. I marked a neutral rating or 3 stars for chew proof because with a large pup nothing is chew proof, you just need to be smart enough to not leave it where he can get to it while youre not looking. Really thats an unfair rating, cause again, nothing is chew proof given time.

This is a well-made, heavy-duty leash, and I would give it five stars EXCEPT the auxiliary handle is too close to the clasp (my dog) and too far away from my hand. If she were taller, it would probably be just right. Or, if I were shorter, it might work better, or both! I realize with mass production one must take averages into account, and usually a leash like this would be for a bigger dog. Very well made. The padded handles are very nice for our morning walks.
