> 3 dayLike its 10-12m compadible . Had everything including repeater splits -100 , has pl tones listed as 1-38 in the menu . The Clarifier adjusts to turn rx & tx freq at same time to tune in SSB signals but you set it for tx rx clarification one you shut radio off its back to locked tx clarifier You have go back into menu adjust again. This couldve been designed better.

Greater than one weekI wanted the Lincoln 2 after seeing it for the first time, was either the Lincoln or the grant 2 i still have my HR2510 which due to scarce availability of parts and finals, i hardly run it much anymore i fire her up every now n then to keep the caps from drying out have always used higher end radios, and the so called 10 meter exports which tend to drift terribly on ssb, have the same cold solder joints or the same cracking of boards constantly as every other model offered with the ept3XXX series boards ranger, connex, galaxy or some backyard or hack c.b tech has golden screwdrivered it to death yanking out mod limiters, massive wattage tune ups, added a worthless swing kit or some new found so called tweak that i have had to go and either remove or fix and realign the tx or rx section or in most cases both, anyway president knocked the ball out of the park with this one, once you figure out what everything in the menu does, and how to move the steps for the vfo she is every simple to operate i like the fact you can change the beeps tone i have it set at 2480Khz close to NASAS quindar outro tone which is 2475Khz so its not too annoying on fm use with a distant station ,echo adjustment isnt as straightforward as it could be is nice to add just a bit for noisy situations to help cut though the qrm, ssb audio reports are crisp and super clean .f.m is crisp with no clipping, AM is a little low which is not a big deal, but its clean, the high cut filter is super nice to get rid of higher pitch static sounds just like my magnum 257 has ,nice to be able to set echo when needed with the talkback then go in to menu and shut it off, unlike my galaxies never been too fond of the asc circuit even with the uniden c.b radios as it can be a bit too strong at times for weaker stations to break the squelch range, all in all it isnt a yaesu, kenwood or icom but she has the potential to make good contacts, with good audio reports on ssb and fm and am with the right antenna setup either as a base or a mobile very happy with this radio every report gas been great with this radio not sure why others have issues

> 3 dayHave been using it for a bit now and it has been great so far. It has 8 memories (tow emergency + six regular), I wish it had a bit more and perhaps a bit more power, but I love its clarity and functions. In this low propagation days I have been able to make contacts to several thousands of kilometers away and received sstv images. I have seen any radio with this features and quality at this price.

29-10-2024The features are great for the price. Good mounting set and power cable. Yet, Im disappointed in the memory and programming options. Even after finding a 3rd party cable, the free software from President doesnt do much. If you want it to act like a CB, youll be thrilled. If you want to scan the ham bands and create channel groups for different modes, not so much. The stock channel groups dont match usable ham bands or segments within the bands. Regarding channel frequencies, I have yet to find a way to change anything but the 6 memories and emergency channels. So, all the default channels end in 5kHz increments; and cant be changed, apparently. The TX and RX do well. The clarifier is really useful and the noise filtering options are very useful as band conditions change. The metering is convenient for battery voltage and swr. The mic key misses occasionally and I have to re-key. It is very easy to modify for CB use, and the channels line up nicely, so Ive heard. If someone wants more than legal power and to free-band, it could be done: allegedly.
