> 3 dayI wanted to try a cool mist humidifier so I checked this one out. Even though every humidifier wants distilled water to use in it that can get expensive during the winter months since you would have to stock up on many gallons of distilled water for a four to six month period which can be quite costly. Tap water the fastest method but then your releasing the dreaded WHITE MIST which will emit quite a lot. Starts to white mist your room on everything. So you try these decriminalize tap water products and all the one I have tried to use to not work. Still had white mist coming out. So Im sure most other cool mist ultrasonic humidifiers have the same issue. Ive gone back to the warm air humidifier with filters because at least I dont get white mist from the ones I have purchased later. Only drawback is replacing filters but try to get a humidifier that have the filters that last the longest time wise to save costs replacing them several times during continuous use. Have a great day everyone.

> 3 dayI love this humidifier because it is relatively easy to clean… except for this one part that leads up to the mist chamber (not sure what it is actually called). The rest of this humidifier is easy to take apart and clean… but this part… where I have had mold and other stuff grow despite my regular cleanings, does not come apart easily. It is an absolute nightmare to get off, IF you can even get it off. The other flaw this humidifier has is that after a year or so, when you wash it and let it dry, it doesn’t always work immediately. There have been times where I can’t use it for a couple days because it just won’t run. This is my second of these humidifiers because when I contacted the company about the issue mentioned above they told me it was because something got wet inside that wasn’t supposed to. And that was it. No further help. Normally that would turn me off from a company and their product, but I use a humidifier every night because of my sinuses and the two humidifiers I’ve owned by this company have lasted for upwards of 4-5 years compared to my previous ones that maybe lasted 6 months because I couldn’t clean all the parts well enough because of how they were built.

> 3 dayI purchased the HURON model. Best part of this humidifier is the top fill concept. In theory its nice to fill from the top. You can refill the unit with the lid on or by remicing the lid. I found that the lid must be removed to fill. You need to pour very slowly because the slot (opening) in the lid isnt big enough and water spills over. Also, the lid does not seat very secure or snug. There is nothing to make sure the lid stays on. A simple bump and the lid falls off and water is everywhere. Make sure you have your unit on a very stable table away from possible or potential accidental bumps otherwise even a slight bump to the table is enough for the humidifier to spill. It is small even for a bedroom. I was filling my unit twice a day. The amount of mist released on the lowest setting is not enough to properly moisterize/humidify the air. I was barely able to get the humidity level up to 35% on the highest setting. When I first got the humidifier I put it on the lowest setting which took a full week to get the humidity level even close to 30% and wasnt enough to sustain the humidity level. I needed to adjust it to the highest output mist level but then I was refilling the tank twice a day. My bedroom, for reference, is 97 x 14 feet. The mist spout does not rotate and therefore the direction of the mist cannot be adjusted. The location of the spout is at an odd angle. This really limits not only where I can place the unit in my bedroom but the direction of the mist to keep it from landing on sensitive surfaces. In order to position the direction of the mist I needed to rotate the entire unit. I was not able to position the direction of the mist spout. The display panel is very minimal which is what I wanted but what I didnt realize is just how minimal it is. There is no read out per say. All the controls are color coded. The mist level is determined by the brightness of the display light. The type of setting is determined by different colors (red, white, blue). It is challenging to feel confident that the settings are what I want because the difference in light level between the various mist levels is negligent. Its hard to see the difference between low, medium, or high mist level. A reference card is included with the code key for what the various light intensity levels and colors mean. I found I needed to keep rechecking. The overall feel of the unit seems flimsy and cheaply made. Giving me hesitancy as to whether it could last a full winter season. I live in the more northern climate where we are in a deep freeze for 3 out of the 5 winter months furnaces/heating units running full on 24 hrs a day. Daily temps barely above 20 degrees. This makes the air very dry and humidifiers a necessity. I wish I could like this humidifier because in concept it has potential. But it just falls short on too many features for me. I ended up getting something different. I wasnt able to return this because I didnt respond within the return policy window. But hopefully if I keep this unit properly stored I can use it as a back up for just incase moments.

> 3 dayGENIANI is a mini humidifier, it cannot be used with essential oils, it shows a warning on the top of the unit after you unpack it, even though the instructions state where to put oils, this particular model cannot be used with oils. I like how small it is, perfect for anyones bedside. It runs via a USB cord, the instructions mentioned you can use a 5V power adapter that did not come with it. The USB cord is pretty short it is a little less than 3 feet. Connecting this near a bedside would be easy if you have something that takes a USB cable, like a power bank or an alarm clock that has USB slots which ours does. Per the box it is USB powered it needs to be continuously plugged in. The set up is very easy. Hold the base, and turn the top part clockwise to open. If you look at the top part you can see where the long filter is, you turn that counterclockwise to remove it. The filter that is in there, needs to be soaked in water for about 1-2 minutes (first-time use), and then it can be placed back in. It is very easy to put back in. Then fill the clear bottom part with water, do not use hot water. The box states 8.45 fl oz, I would just put 8 oz of water, as there is no real water line. Then you are ready to plug it in and let it do its job. The extra moisture next to the bed will be perfect, as I wake with a very dry throat and sometimes with a headache, so I am hoping this will work out great. It does come with an extra filter, which is nice. My only issue, really, is the filter where do I get replacement filters? What happens when you can no longer find the filters, can we make our own? That is the huge downfall with any humidifiers that use filters. As wonderful as this portable humidifier is, how will it work if I no longer can find filters? I hope to never have to replace it. I checked their website that is shown on the box, and they do not carry this model on the website. However, it comes with a 1 YEAR WARRANTY. Risk-Free Purchase & Hassle-Free Replacement!

> 3 dayI have been happy with my purchase of this very small humidifier. The only reason why I didn’t give it five stars across-the-board was I thought that the instructions to clean it were a little bit vague. It would be helpful if they had a diagram showing what each of the parts is called. In the end I figured it out but I think they could’ve made this easier for the consumer.

> 3 dayI had the previous version for a year and loved it. But it just stopped working so I bought the new one not realizing they had “updated” it. It’s FINE, but the cord is now attached, meaning it’s harder to fill up (you can’t place it in the sink). There is some not-removable ring in the base that means it’s full of mildew and impossible to remove. But my biggest gripe is that there is now black particles appearing in the tank after every use. If this was like a Brita filter with a charcoal filter cartridge I would assume it was charcoal coming out cuz it’s new. But that doesn’t make sense, so now I’m stuff with a device that pumps out black dust all the time.

Greater than one weekBefore purchasing, I researched maybe 10 other humidifiers being sold on Amazon and I finally settled on this one. Key things to consider when buying a humidifier: How easy is it to refill? Other humidifiers have to be filled upside down! I was not gonna go through the hassle of having to bring it to the sink and disassemble it every time I wanted to fill it. This one fills by just pouring water on the top. It has a little slit for small fills but if you want to fill the whole thing, just take the top part off, very easy. Size: This one holds a gallon of water and lasts me a few days of it running for hours each day. Id say if it was constantly running it would last a night of sleep plus a half. Timer: This one unfortunately does not have a timer. I kinda wish I bought the one with the timer but it is not a big deal. This one claims that it will turn off if it gets too humid but I havent noticed that to be true. It does shut off automatically when it runs out of water though Visible fill line: I wanted to be able to see what level the water is at so I can expect when it will need a refill. This basin is not see through but it does have a fill line that is lit up when on. Essential oils: I didnt buy this for the essential oil slot but it is a nice addition. When I want to freshen up my room from the stale air I just dab some essential oils onto the pad in the pop-out plastic tray. One small con is that the tray gets kind of stuck after you click it to open. I have to tug on it a little but not a big deal. Mist height and direction: This one shoots up pretty high and has 3 different height settings. The mist also seems to fall on my left when I am sitting below it. I have it on top of my bedframe. Noise level: This thing is so quiet, it does make some water noises with a very small whirring sound but it is pretty peaceful Hope this helps you decide on your purchase!
