> 3 dayAfter having tried numerous humidifiers that are very hard to clean, this brand has been the easiest one to clean. Their updated model now (March 2023) is even easier to clean than before. Very easy to disassemble and clean all the parts. Small butter knife can help with disassembly and takes less than a minute.

Greater than one weekOk, so I think I understand the confusion here with all of the conflicting reviews. Looks like they merge all of the reviews and questions for both products on this page, since 2 different sizes are under one listing. The mini diffusers DO have the stick filter. I have not ordered the large, 4L capacity one, but if you watch the product videos of both the mini humidifier and the 4L humidifier, the larger one does not appear to have the filter system that the mini one has. So all the people on here answering the question of whether or not it has a filter, and answering no, likely bought the 4L large capacity humidifier. And all the people who are upset that they asked that question, and received a product that not only has a filter, but cannot be used without the stick filter... likely only purchased the mini humidifier. I purchased the mini humidifier, and I can confirm, it puts out an AWFUL smell due to the stick filter. Really wish it could be used without them, but the humidifier will not do anything if there is no stick filter inserted. Im not sure how anyone else is tolerating the scent coming out of that, when Ive seen them call out that they wish they could order more of those filters. I guess theyre using it for essential oils, but still, this type of diffuser that uses stick filters is so not necessary. There are types of diffusers specifically for use with essential oils, that do not have/need this stick filter. If concerned about hard water build up, just run some vinegar through the machine occasionally to clean that out. Anyways, these were just not for me, Im returning them due to the awful smell. It was like a sort of burning, chemically smell. Seems like that would not be good for my plants, nor for me. I will say, that the mini humidifiers were impressively quiet, however. I couldnt hear anything and my apartment was pretty quiet at the time. If I was in an empty room with zero noise, maybe Id hear a little hum, but I dont think it would be much, honestly. I ended up buying a Honeywell humidifier instead, Ill review that once I use it.

> 3 dayNot worth it. Used it twice in the first two weeks that I bought it and then it stopped working. UPDATE: I spoke with customer service and they were very kind and helpful. Offered to send me a new one so I could give it another try!

> 3 dayGENIANI is a mini humidifier, it cannot be used with essential oils, it shows a warning on the top of the unit after you unpack it, even though the instructions state where to put oils, this particular model cannot be used with oils. I like how small it is, perfect for anyones bedside. It runs via a USB cord, the instructions mentioned you can use a 5V power adapter that did not come with it. The USB cord is pretty short it is a little less than 3 feet. Connecting this near a bedside would be easy if you have something that takes a USB cable, like a power bank or an alarm clock that has USB slots which ours does. Per the box it is USB powered it needs to be continuously plugged in. The set up is very easy. Hold the base, and turn the top part clockwise to open. If you look at the top part you can see where the long filter is, you turn that counterclockwise to remove it. The filter that is in there, needs to be soaked in water for about 1-2 minutes (first-time use), and then it can be placed back in. It is very easy to put back in. Then fill the clear bottom part with water, do not use hot water. The box states 8.45 fl oz, I would just put 8 oz of water, as there is no real water line. Then you are ready to plug it in and let it do its job. The extra moisture next to the bed will be perfect, as I wake with a very dry throat and sometimes with a headache, so I am hoping this will work out great. It does come with an extra filter, which is nice. My only issue, really, is the filter where do I get replacement filters? What happens when you can no longer find the filters, can we make our own? That is the huge downfall with any humidifiers that use filters. As wonderful as this portable humidifier is, how will it work if I no longer can find filters? I hope to never have to replace it. I checked their website that is shown on the box, and they do not carry this model on the website. However, it comes with a 1 YEAR WARRANTY. Risk-Free Purchase & Hassle-Free Replacement!

> 3 dayMy wife had been sick for almost 2 weeks with a terrible cough and severe congestion that triggered her asthma and required a trip to the ER. We ordered this humidifier when we got home and it arrived the next day. Within a half hour of getting it we put the water in and turned it on 8n the bedroom. She slept much better that first night without wheezing and the moisture started loosening up the phlegm. She enjoys being able to breathe again without having to use her emergency inhaler or nebulizer. Wish we had bought her one years ago for times like this.

> 3 dayI bought one in January 2023, and it was great until it stopped working in April. Geniani very promptly sent me a replacement, which I am delighted to have. Fantastic customer service. I would have given the unit 5 stars, but since my first one failed, Im reluctant to give it a 5.

> 3 dayI purchased two of these, because the product description hit all the buttons I was looking for: filterless, top-filling, easy to clean. In fact, it states cleaning and refilling is a breeze. Then I read the manual. The very first step to setting up the humidifier is to remove the accessories from the box. There were no accessories in my box, which left me with a sinking feeling that only grew worse as I kept reading. To clean the atomizer, you have to inject 10ml of acetum into it, then immerse it (in what, it doesnt say), then scrub it with the cleaning brush. Which sent me scouring my box to see if I had missed one or both of those things. I had not. They were never included. Thankfully, I have an extra toothbrush lying around. Also, I learned that acetum is another name for vinegar. Or a solution that includes vinegar. Except that the manual later states to add a small amount of vinegar of 5-10 drops of cleaning solution into the water tank to clean the tank, so who knows what the intended meaning of acetum actually is in this context. Also, Im pretty sure 5-10 drops of vinegar isnt going to clean anything, so is there, in fact, a special cleaning solution I should be using? I dont know, but given how grammatically-challenged this manual is, it should probably be viewed more like guidelines than actual instructions. So far, they seem to be working well, but if that changes, Ill update my review.

> 3 dayI bought this to use for my plant. The heat in my house is too much for them. I use it for a plant that stands by itself in a corner of the house. since i started using it i notice that the soil moist at the top for a longer time and not dried out so i dont need to water daily. This humidifier is relatively easy to use just add water and press the power button. its really small so i have to refill twice daily if i keep it running continuously . i will invest in the larger one for my other plants
