And from a design perspective, the V Ball is simple, attractive, functional and very comfortable - a solid performer. Show me any Waterman or Mont Blanc that even comes close, and Ill buy it. But in the interim, at less than two bucks a pop, the Pilot V Ball sets the gold standard for everything a great pen should be.

> 24 hourI work at a school and do A LOT of writing. Love the extra fine, no smearing, good color and how smooth the pen writes. They are comfortable to write with. I think they are pricey. I only splurge on them once a school year.

> 24 hourI love these pens (extra fine tip), use them frequently, and have for many years. Performance/consistency has been excellent, and the pens last a long time before running out of ink. Highly recommended (and even better than a Schmidt cartridge I tried in a custom-made pen).

> 24 hourI love these pens! Black, blue, red, purple... whatever! They feel nice in the hand, last forever, the ink flows smooth and you can press hard and the nib doesn’t bend. My students are always trying to steal my pens because they are the best and this is the only pen I use. I have dozens of them and if Pilot discontinues this line, I’ll be devastated. Trust me, I know pens and have tried them all. These are the hands-down winners.
