> 3 dayIve tried several other similar heating pads and this is still the best product. The soft gel pads eventually leak and have a funny smell that never seems to go away. The less expensive brands of the hard pads tend to warp quickly and / or dont hold heat as long.

Greater than one weekThese work great. we use them on our cats. They heat up in about 8 mins (we have a low power microwave) and stay warm all night long. Our cats love them! Great invention.

> 3 dayPretty much works as advertise, though the heat does not quite last as long as it says. In our weather we find it lasts 5-8 hours outside. Closer to 8 hours if it isnt below zero out. I find it can be very hot to touch if heated for the recommended time. The cover helps, but I would recommend shorting the heating time by 30-60 seconds if placing under pet immediately after heating.

> 3 dayI really wanted a plug in heat pad but my husband is very fearful of anything that might be a fire hazard. So I got these to put in the bunny hutch. So far its not something they have chewed on as it is very thick plastic. They may have nibbled a little on the fleece covering. However one of the heat pads developed an indentation (like the beginning of a melted area) and the other one developed the beginning of a burned area. I followed the exact directions for my microwave. Here is what I now do...I turn it over halfway through the heating. I have to heat it for 7 minutes. So I flip it after 3 1/2 minutes. Also you have to make sure your microwave plate is spinning properly. I think if you have any hot spots in your microwave it will cause the melting issue.

> 3 dayMy outside cats (and opposum) really like these. I have one plug for two houses and the third house, I use these. We are so cold here, that I change and put a warm one in after about 7 hours.

> 3 dayI use these for feral cats in freezing temps. I thought they’d last longer than they do, but it’s better than nothing. I wasn’t expecting them to be so hard, but I suppose that’s necessary to ensure they are safe (chew proof). I’d buy them again as I don’t have an option to have an electric heating source, but they don’t stay warm for several hours like I thought they would. I would recommend buying the three together so you can rotate them. You cannot reheat them until fully cooled down.

> 3 dayI gave these a “1” because the covers fell apart at the seams after a couple washings. I have one I bought 5 years ago whose cover is still perfect but these 3 new SnuggleSafe covers are poorly made. Disappointed in the workmanship.

> 3 dayWe seem to have the house with a sucker sign when it comes to stray and feral cats. These were originally purchased for one of our feral cats, but the biggest benefactor has been one of our strays. She loves the warmth and although she adores being outside hunting lizards during most of the year, in the winter, she has always enjoyed the basement. This gives her much more warmth and we bought the trio so we could rotate through the Snuggle Safes and keep her relatively warm during this horrible cold snap weve been in. I would give this a 5 star review, however, our cat would give it 6 - if only she could figure out how to work a computer.
