I love this automatic feeder! It takes the guesswork out of feeding my cat and I really like that I can leave for a weekend and not worry about getting a cat sitter if I dont need to. I bought this for the automatic portion control because my cat is a scarf and barfer. This way he can be fed in multiple portions throughout the day without the hassle of me having to remember to do it by hand. The only issue I have is that its comes with two portion wheels and its automatically calibrated for dogs with the bigger wheel installed. I have it on the lowest setting because Im lazy, but if I wanted to really watch the amount my cat was eating and serve him more often - but in smaller - portions Id have to unscrew and install the smaller wheel. I feel like for the size of this feeder (it holds one 3 lb bag) it should really be assumed that people arent using it for their dogs who can eat more.

Wanted something that made it easier to feed my lab without me having to do it multiple times per day. Easy to set this up and control the portion size and now when he hears this go off he gets excited and runs to his bowl. Best part is no more drooling on me to tell me he is hungry.

I was excited to receive this in the mail and I love it. Took a little reading to figure out the functions. Once you get it, you cant forget. You realize how easy it is. My cats took to it immediately. I have two cats and they realize thats where their dry food will be coming from here on out lol. Voice recorder is useless for me. It sounds awful when you record. I like that they hear the food and simply gravitate towards it. I gave this 4 stars because I wish there was more of a seal on the lid to keep the cat food smell inside more. But it closes just enough to not annoy me lol. I love this feeder overall and plan to buy another.

This feeder was great for ONE week. I am just glad I was home to realize it stopped working and not away on vacation to return to find out my cat was not fed! Returning it.

This is an awesome product! Each serving is exactly 1/8 of a cup of kibble, and it has been working exactly as promised so far. No more 6 am cat wake ups (I set the first feeding for 5:40 am!), and the cat gets fed a bit 4 times a day (plus some wet food in the evening) so he never goes on a destructive tear cuz he’s hungry. The clear lid is nice, and it feels sturdy. The voice recording is pretty low-fi, you don’t really need it — more of a gimmick— the cat knows the sound of the feeder!!

This is the second one I bought and I love it.

Convenience

This automatic feeder is working out great! I did a lot of research into feeders before I bought this one and it doesn’t seem to have some of the design flaws other models have. First of all, there is no way for the cat to knock it over or learn how to open the lid of the food compartment. The lid locks and you have to press a button on the side while pulling on the lid to open it. The button could not be used by an animal because it’s concave and so you need fingers to open it. The locking mechanism is strong enough that if the whole unit fell over (which is unlikely since it’s center of gravity is low and it’s pretty heavy) the lid would not open. The second design plus is that there is absolutely no way a cat could stick their paw up the food slot and turn the rotor to get more food. The slot is just too narrow. Other design features I really like are the battery back up, the four mealtime settings, and the wide variety of portion sizes. There are some things to note, however. Setting the mealtimes on the digital display is not intuitive. You will need to keep the guide so that you can make changes in the future because most settings changes require pushing multiple buttons simultaneously. The food portions system is not based on any specific measurement system (such as grams, ounces, cups, etc.) so you will have to refer to the guide provided for how much each arbitrary portion size actually is. As for the voice recorder, I haven’t used it yet. The sound of the food being dispensed has been enough to get my cat’s attention from the get-go. And as for the price point, I think it’s very reasonable for what you’re getting. The product seems well-made and sturdy and has features similar to more expensive models without some of their design flaws. Overall, I would definitely recommend this feeder to people who are looking for an automatic feeder for their pet. My cat loves it, and I love that she can get fed while I’m at work or in the middle of the night to keep her from waking me up because she’s hungry.

Love it! Little loud but at least my cat knows when there’s food lol

This is a behavior solution for our cat Blaze. I am an early riser but Blaze is ready for his first meal before I can wake up. So hearing my voice calling him to his first meal with our Pawple is great. He has quickly adjusted from his bowl to this feeding device. He now receives three proportioned meals right on time. The unit was very easy to program. His dry food works very well with this feeder. Finally I get my beauty rest Thanks Amazon!
