Ive been looking for an everyday waist pack to carry two water bottles (for my kids) and some essentials when packing my cargo shorts just isnt enough. I remember long ago when I had a great Ultimate Direction waist pack that was super functional and comfortable and have been looking a long time for something similar. I almost purchased the Osprey Talon or Tempest as they most resembled my old Ultimate Direction pack. However, Im glad I waited and discovered the Savu. The Savu is sleek and functional for what I want. The water bottle holder areas can flatten down when not in use to make it more sleek and attractive. The main pocket is spacious enough to hold 2 ipad minis and a bit more. I suppose the Talon/Tempest has more padding which may make it better for hiking or trail running, but I love my Savu. It even looks a lot better than other fanny packs when slung diagonally over your torso.

Felt I needed to write a review of this pack to clear up some of the reservations I had before purchasing it. A few one star reviews complain about the support straps that hold the water bottles in place and keep them from slipping out of the bottom. It seems these people are missing the snap buttons that make it accept the water bottles or if you unsnap them it lets the bag flatten out if you arent running any. If these buttons arent snapped the bottles would definitely slip past the strap. Snapped together and it makes a perfectly sized water bottle holder!

I found my backpack to be bothering in MTB rides especially when wanting to bunny hop and on the rough patches so I switched to this fanny pack. Enough storage for the short to medium rides without the weight on the back, also allot more ventilated in the summer! Whoever complained about the bottles falling out didnt notice that there are tictacs that you need to close in order for the water bottles to fit snug... Very happy!

Use this for downhill skiing to carry ID, snacks, and water. Works perfect!!

This is a well made and slightly expensive hydration pack but I read some reviews and gave it a shot, but sadly had to return it after a single use; the pack simply will not stay in place unless you tighten it to the point of being VERY uncomfortable. At one point it slipped low enough it caught on the tip of my saddle; NOT a good thing. So like I said, it’s well made, holds a decent amount of liquid, but not a hydration pack I can recommend.

Great pack. It took me a while and a dropped water bottle to figure out the collapsible bottle holders but once I did it was great. One lays flat and the other expands to fit a bottle. Keeps all my riding goodies and more and I forget it is even there. I can fit snacks 2 bottles tools keys wallet phone and a thin wind breaker. Perfect for SoCal

In general, I love Osprey products. However, I am disappointed by this pack. I used it today for the first time. One water bottle fell out of the bottom several times because the bottom of the water bottle pouches is not solid material, but two straps. The pack is comfortable but I am considering returning. I used it for hiking, not biking.

We recently took this with us hiking to a number of national parks and really liked it. It was very comfortable to wear and held everything we needed. This pack has place for two bottles of water and ample room for snacks, keys, cell phone, and a small first aid kit. We really liked it a lot. Its durable and looks great too! Would definitely recommend.
