I like that the whitening takes place in a short period of time.

This product has been recommended by my dentist through his office. I have used in before and found it to be easy to use.

This product is completely effective and easy to use. When I saw my dentist for whitening this was the product he gave me to use. I purchased the 35% which is definitely the way to go. You only need to wear your trays for 30 to 60 minutes. You only need a drop on each of the front teeth (no need for the back teeth) top and bottom. I can easily get 4+ applications out of one tube. If you are only getting two to three applications as recommended then you are using WAY too much. You will see the most results in the first few days. After that they get whiter just a little more each time. Well worth it in my opinion.

the ends easily come off the tubes.2out of the 4 I received had to be put on by hand instead of using the point.

You need to have a tray or a retainer to use the gel. Use only a minute amount because it will irritate your gum if you use too much. It does make your teeth sensitive, so I am only using it once/week. My teeth was pretty white to start with but this gel help rid of surface stains. I use one syringe for 3 whitening sessions, so it’s not a bad deal. Highly recommended.

I first got custom whitening trays about fourteen years ago - right after I had my braces removed. I have used just about every gel from several dentists. All of the gels have been far less than 35% and of course took a lot longer per treatment (usually overnight) and many more treatments than this product at 35%. And the gels cost SEVERAL times more from a dentist. One can achieve the same results as this 35% product, but it will take much longer, and will cost much more. There is a balance between the percentage of carbamide peroxide and gum irritation, however - and it varies from person to person (the irritation, that is). But here is what I have found. If I floss my teeth once a day and brush them two to three times a day and use a fluoride rinse Act at night, I can use the Opalescence 35% for one hour per treatment in custom trays. Even after one hour, I can see clear results. If my teeth are still too dim I can use it every day until I get the results I want. I know (sort of) if I have over done it because my dentist will tell me my teeth are too white and off his colour chart. I never tell him this, but I think his teeth are dim and stained. (Sorry if that is mean.) My tips: Brush your teeth at least twice a day with a fluoride toothpaste. Floss once a day and use Act fluoride rinse at night and use THIS gel. This gel is the best I have tried. It works quickly. Short treatment, few treatments. If you cannot tolerate an hour; use the recommended half hour. I dont have sensitivity, but if you do, switch to Sensodine sensitive teeth toothpaste and use the Opalescence less frequently, for a shorter time or both. Also, stop doing those shots of straight Bourbon, because that compounds the irritation to your gums. I vacillate about how often to touch up my teeth - so I asked another Amazon reviewer. Anyway, that is what works for me and I hope this helps you. A bright smile makes an awesome first impression. And second, third... Cheers, Dan

pros: I love that it works so well. SENSITIVITY APPROVE! I’m really sensitive to the point that if I drink cold water my teeth hurt really bad I left this product on for 20 mins and I was fine expect for my bad gum application. Only 10 minutes with the product on and you really can tell the difference. You can do multiple sessions if you know how to apply the product. (The pictures above was my first trial) Cons: it burn if you apply on your gums so make sure you know how to apply it or it will burn you but only the first 5 minutes. Once you remove it the burn gum will dismounted and it goes away within an hour as you can see in the last two pictures.

I am using just a small drop of this in the crease of my dentist-made plastic whitening trays -- nowhere near 1/3 or 1/2 of a syringe. It will mix with saliva and move upward on the front and back of my teeth to cover all. When I take the trays off, there is still a ton of product in my mouth, like its concentrated. I originally got 16% product from the dentist, which did hardly anything. The 35% is twice as strong and intense. The instructions that came with it said to leave 35% solution on for only 30 minutes, so I dont know if its safe to leave it on for more than that. Stick to milk and white foods after using for at least 2 weeks - the rest of your life is even better so you dont have to go through this whitening torture again. I read that whiteners will remove the enamel temporarily, exposing the tooth dentin. Dark foods and drinks can soak into the dentin tubules, causing the tooth to turn dark permanently. I witnessed this happening to my own tooth, as a temporary crown was placed on my tooth while the student-dentist (Baylor Dental College) took forever (2 months) to make the permanent one. The temporary crown was prone to coming off and I saw how my precious tooth darkened over time while I was waiting for this student to make the permanent crown. I questioned her about it and she said she expected that it would turn dark because the took underneath the temporary crown wasnt sealed completely. Anyway, I assume that enamel is removed by using strong whitening products and the tooth will remain yellow if you drink coffee right afterwards. I read a post by a dentist that stated the enamel will return, after whitening, by the saliva in our mouth. Personally, Im having a hard time getting my teeth nice and white, as I hoped for with the Opalescence and they are slightly yellow after 8 syringes of the 16% and 3 syringes of the 35% -- much better than before, but definitely not The Rock white.
