This thing will securely keep the heaviest laptop you can get right now, the Predator Helios 500. This 17.3 11lb beast made me have my doubts that I would be able to use a vertical stand on, but I was proven wrong.

The only complaint I could have about this is that you have to hold it down when you take your laptop out of it. To be honest though, thats the desired effect so it cant slide out of the dock when someone accidentally bumps your desk. The product is heavy enough so that it wont move when placing the laptop in it but not so heavy that you cant reposition it on a whim. Im overall extremely pleased with this product.
