10-11-2024Knocked 20C degrees off my CPU temp vs. the Intel RTS2011LC liquid cooler for my overclocked i7-3960X, even without the optional second fan. Running the Linpack IntelBurnTest, I cannot get the CPU temp above 65C, whereas with the Intel cooler, I was over 80C even with some normal activities. Mighty impressive cooling! The NH-D15 does take up a lot of cabinet space, and I dont have room for the second fan in my Antec 902 case, but the Austrian manufacturer has improved upon the already legendary D12 to enable compatibility for more high profile ram modules.

> 3 dayThis monster cooler keeps CPU temperature down with very little noise. The Noctua website does a good job providing compatibility information, even on new-release motherboards. As a result it is easy to find the best solution for your custom build. Noctua packages all components very well. Included are (high quality) thermal paste and various connectors to suite varied customized airflow and noise profiles.

> 3 dayEasy to install with the motherboard out of the case. Supplied screwdriver is soft producing swarf so ditched this for a regular electrical screwdriver as I was concerned about having swarf shorting components.

> 3 dayIts been less than a month and i have noticed that when the fan speed increases there is a high pitch sound coming from them. When there is no load they are silent though! I dont expect them to be silent under load, but the high pitch sound does not seem normal. I am thinking that i may have faulty fan(s).

> 3 dayGreat cooler, installation was incredibly easy. A bit pricey, but keeps my 6700K at 55-56C on full load.
