31-10-2024Changed from a cooler master hyper 12 on a AMD 8350 to this, dropped 14 degrees on idle lol. Couldnt even overcloak before, now it is a piece of cake!

Greater than one weekThis heatsink is massive. Make sure it will fit your case and not interfere with RAM or other components. I did my homework and had no problems. The kit is comprehensive and includes all the hardware and instructions needed for various types of CPUs. It even includes thermal paste. This is the heart of my near-silent built (using a Fractal Design R5 case) and I am so happy with the results. There is so much metal that the fans can run really slow and I still get CPU temps under 40C.

> 3 dayThis product seems great at cooling and the fans are quiet, but its a real struggle getting it to fit the 2011 socket Intel processors. In the end I had to have one of the two brackets completely detached from the motherboard, mount the other side, loosely attach the loose bracket to the cooling block, then fasten it - only hand fastened - to the motherboard.

> 3 dayIf you are thinking about getting this Noctua cooler or an all in one liquid cooler buy this instead. I upgraded to this from a corsair h110i gtx. It is able to keep the temps on my overclocked 4790k [4.8 at 1.38 volts] down under 80C under stress test, all the while staying quiet. This cooler can match the performance of most all in one liquid coolers and occasionally beat them. [While staying much much quieter with less points of failure.]
