Noctua NH-C14S, Premium CPU Cooler with NF-A14 PWM 140mm Fan (Brown)

Im pretty consistently happy with Noctua coolers in general. Im not sure its worth posting a review on this because I dont really have anything to add beyond whats been said before.

Keeps my CPU around the Mid 40s under normal load and mid 60s while gaming. its pretty large so I had to remove the top case fan from the NZXT H510 Elite. Gets the job done though. I ended up buying Notcuas 140mm chromaxx fan to get rid of that ugly brown color.

Attached easily to an Asus Z170 motherboard and keeps the temps of an overclocked (4800MHz) Skylake 6700k under 40 C running at about 800 rpm. Very quiet.

You can tell this brand cares about the unboxing experience for their customers. Documentation was easy to ready and clear. Mounting system was easy to install. CPU heatsink was easy to install. Fan was easy to install.

Im using this with the fan under the heatsink blowing down onto the motherboard. My V750 SFX PSU is mounted to the front for neater cable management and cooler clearance. Im using Corsair CMK16GX4M2Z3200C16 memory. Plenty of memory and motherboard clearance. I scavenged a NF-A15 off my old NH-U14S cooler as a push fan. Running SOTTR benchmark 3 times on ULTRA settings, the CPU temp was no more than 57C with an ambient 22C (CPU fans set to silent in BIOS). Im still finalizing the build and will likely replace the NF-A15 with a NF-A14 PWM fan, since the A15 has half the air flow as the A14.

Dont waste you money on other coolers

The heatsink was very easy to install! it is BIG! but it does give ample room for your video card, being that it is a Little offset from center. Really happy with the purchase.

I run a Ryzen 9 3950x, and previously was using a darkrock pro which was awesome, but when I had to transfer cases, I needed something that sat lower, and this thing is perfect! I needed the air to move up and sit low, and this did it. CPU rests idle at 39C and averages 40-63C during heavy use. Crazy awesome performance. And the packaging? Youd think I bought a Tesla. It was wrapped with perfection. Love it.

Have it In a corsair crystal 460x case cooling a 3820 I7. Temps are 50c on load, they occasionally. go up to 52-53. Also have it on a i7 7700k in a Corsair 750d plenty of room. Keeps temps around 71 on max load. I dont have any other coolers to compare to as this is the only one I ever buy.

Using this for SFF Cerberus X case. Fits inside even with the side-rail mounted. Its a premium price for a premium item. Everything that you could need for installation is in the box, including tools. When installing with bottom-mounted fan, you can unhook it from its mount and shift it to access the screws. The heatsink can be rotated in any desired position (what side the heatpipes are on).
