> 3 dayPurchase another brand sometime ago and it claimed to have 27db but was loud, I can hear the fan about 30 feet away. This one is 17.9db and it is about 10 times more quiet. I have to put my ear next to the fan to hear anything. The air volume however is about half of my old one but that was still adequate for cooling. I dont think this thing even has 17.9db and my old one probably a lot more than 27db. It comes with all kinds of adapter and I did not even have to do any soldering to convert from 3 pin to 2. The instruction is also very clear. I purchased another one immediately to finish my project, highly recommend it.

> 3 dayIs described as a 12volt fan, even clarified in the first question about the product. However it is a 5volt fan... I ordered in good faith to get my CR-10 S5 running again in time for a project but now I will be forced to drive for hours on the road to get to a shop that still sells computer fans. Im beyond disappointed.

Greater than one weekMy mover was waayyyy to loud with the fan which made it virtually unusable in a black box theatre. There is still noise of course but 10/15 in the air no one will notice. The expense is worth it.

Greater than one weekThese Noctua fans are great. Im using it in a 2-bay external hard drive enclosure to replace the noisy stock fan. The Noctua fan is much less noisy and easy to install. This is the second hard drive enclosure Ive put one in and am very happy with the result. Ive had the first one running for over a year and its still quite and going strong.

Greater than one weekThis fan is famously quiet, and installing a buck converter to drive it at 12 VDC in my 24VDC Ender-3 printer was neither costly nor difficult (though a 24VDC version of this fan would be greatly appreciated). I did have intermittent contact trouble and bulk issues using the supplied splices within my extruder cable chain, though. I would much rather have a single cable long enough to reach the electronics box.

> 3 dayThis is the second time in my life that Ive bought this fan and this is the second time that the thing just didnt work out of the box. Being a technical person without having any time, Im guessing it doesnt work because the polarity is reversed. The first time I bought one was a few years ago and the fan just never worked. Im guessing the polarity was wrong and it had no protection. Oops. The second time, for another device, once again the fan doesnt work. Is it broken? Is it bad polarity? I dont know. I will have to start cutting cables to find out, I guess. No idea which cables to connect. Ill just take a wild guess and piss on it. The thing is, I dont want to have to do this. Aint nobody got the time.
