> 3 dayI have 2 hamsters and a gerbil and we use a lot of sand! I previously was using repti sand but I really prefer this niteangel sand to the reptile sand. It feels a lot nicer and it’s super soft and smooth(no rough pieces)! My gerbil uses his sand bath as a toilet(as most gerbils do) and I find this is easier to sift through than the reptisand! And I love that Niteangel changed their ingredients in response to customers concerns and made it as safe as possible :) I have 0 complaints about this sand. It might be a little expensive to some but it is very worth it! For me it’s the only true sand to get that is actually made for hamsters and gerbils! otherwise you have to get sand for reptiles or for children- so it’s just nice to have something ACTUALLY safe and MADE for hamsters! Also please do not use this for your chinchillas they need dust not sand it is not advertised for them and also unsafe to do so but people may misrepresent this product so be wary.

> 3 dayI have a lot of problems with small flies / fungus gnats in the house, which hatch on top of the soil in my houseplants. The only real solution is some sterile sand on top of the soil (which also helps with drainage). But I dont want a 20-pound bag of it. I know this product is pet sand, and I am ASSUMING this is sterile sand. This was a good solution - small bag, clean and sterile. Still a bit expensive, but it worked. No flies yet!

> 3 dayThis sand is very fine grain. Most of it falls off my hamster before getting out and doesn’t leave sand and a dust cloud all over and around the dig box as bad as all others I’ve tried. I definitely recommend trying.

> 3 dayMy hamsters both love this sand. I have little bowls for them to play in and its clean and nice and soft. Really perfect. I use a slotted teaspoon to scoop out clumps each night and its perfect. Highly recommend this.

> 3 dayThis sand was great, though i dont think ill buy it again because i dont think its worth the price. You can go to petsmart and get their reptile sand (no calcium added!) in a bigger size for about the same price.

> 3 dayThis product used to be really great but this batch was a completely different sand it seems like. It now makes my apartment smell like a petting zoo because it absorbs so poorly.
