Two weeks ago, I had a new kitchen faucet installed &, after installation, I asked my plumber why the water flow was so weak. He did not seem to know. I took off the aerator to see if there was some restriction that could be removed to enable my sink or containers to fill more quickly & for my water to get hot as fast as it did before. The aerator could not be modified. So I did my research & found out that all newer faucets come with a 1.5 gpm (gallon per minute) aerator as opposed to older faucets that traditionally had 2.2 gpm. OK, Ill just go to Menards & pick up a different aerator. Oh no, you wont. They only carry 1.5 & this is apparently to discourage using water at a higher flow rate. Well, Mr. Brilliant EPA Guy, it takes just as much water to fill my sink as it did before. I just have to wait twice as long for it to fill. Also, it takes much longer for the cold water to leave the hot water pipe so I can get to the hot water. I can understand the rationale here but here we go again with some Government Agency determining how I can live my life. Thank God for Amazon!!! I went online & searched for a Moen 2.2 gpm aerator & there it was. I got it today & it fits like a charm & FINALLY I have acceptable water pressure. LOVE IT!! BTW, I have a private well so Im not tapping into public water with my wasteful methods. Come & get me, Water Police.

I thought our bathroom sink’s current arreator was externally threaded, so I got this. Unfortunately it was actually internal. I just took the filter out of this and replaced the one that was in the faucet. Works like a charm. Water feels crisp and well balanced.

I guess Im an impatient person, but the reason I bought this item was to reduce the time for my kitchens faucet to deliver hot water. The 2.2 GPM flow takes much less time than the 1.5 GPM aerator that came with my faucet. Aerators these days seem to be high tech compared to older models, so that must be the reason for the high purchase cost. Anyway, replacing the aerator was a breeze, and I am well satisfied with the new flow rate.

Worked on those old school 80s faucets. Tried to use some generic cheaper options but washers, threading etc. became a headache so I just went to Moen website to find exact PN and paid up.

i BOUGHT A CHEEP REPLACEMENT FROM A BIG BOX STORE BECAUSE THEY DIDNT HAVE A MOEN REPLACEMENT. IT WAS JUNK! RETURNED IT AND BOUGHT THIS ORIGINAL MOEN REPLACEMENT AREATOR AND IT WORKS PERFECT!!

Just moved into a new place and found the old landlord had installed extremely low-flow fixtures on the faucets, which is fine and all, except the bathroom was dozens of yards from the hot water heater! Combine that with the crustiness and clogged nature of the aerator from years of neglect and it took 5 minutes or more to get a trickle of hot water! Not anymore! For less than the price of a movie, this little wonder screwed in (finger tight!), and I had a beautiful, gushy flow of water that was hot in seconds, rather than minutes, and is easy to remove and clean. Do yourself a favor and dont hesitate!

Very tight seal with minimum of torque which protects the faucet threads, I appreciate that.

Before buying this, I bought a generic version at Lowes, where they have stopped carrying the name brand Moen. The Lowes knock-off was substandard and didnt give the pleasing aerated flow like this one does.

Bought these to replace the aerators in our ORB faucets. Cheaper than getting the ORB part as long as your screw cover is in good shape.
