Moen 3919 2.2 GPM Male Thread Kitchen Faucet Aerator, Chrome

Two weeks ago, I had a new kitchen faucet installed &, after installation, I asked my plumber why the water flow was so weak. He did not seem to know. I took off the aerator to see if there was some restriction that could be removed to enable my sink or containers to fill more quickly & for my water to get hot as fast as it did before. The aerator could not be modified. So I did my research & found out that all newer faucets come with a 1.5 gpm (gallon per minute) aerator as opposed to older faucets that traditionally had 2.2 gpm. OK, Ill just go to Menards & pick up a different aerator. Oh no, you wont. They only carry 1.5 & this is apparently to discourage using water at a higher flow rate. Well, Mr. Brilliant EPA Guy, it takes just as much water to fill my sink as it did before. I just have to wait twice as long for it to fill. Also, it takes much longer for the cold water to leave the hot water pipe so I can get to the hot water. I can understand the rationale here but here we go again with some Government Agency determining how I can live my life. Thank God for Amazon!!! I went online & searched for a Moen 2.2 gpm aerator & there it was. I got it today & it fits like a charm & FINALLY I have acceptable water pressure. LOVE IT!! BTW, I have a private well so Im not tapping into public water with my wasteful methods. Come & get me, Water Police.

Wow, how good is this? It is great! Expidious shipping, easy installation. We were having a weird skim of some oily white substance in our bathroom sink once we ran hot water through our Moen faucet. We contacted a plumber via phone and setup a visit (3 WEEKS OUT). We decided to install this replacement aerator while we waited...bingo, no more problems and no $235.00 plumber service fee. BRAVO!

Easy to install just make sure that if you use pliers you tape the teeth or use a soft cloth to prevent scratching the chrome. Water flow is much better. Looks brand new.

It works fine and is easy to install, but i also had changed out an old, filthy cartridge at the same time and because I installed this aerator before changing out the cartridge and that sent a lot of dirt that I wanted to get out from behind the aerator, I removed the aerator to rinse it, but the o-ring came out when doing so, and the o-ring was actually oddly shaped where the top and bottom surfaces werent planar but instead angled in one direction, and I couldnt fully push the o-ring back into the aerator so i just sat it on there and tightened it a lot harder than the first time due to it leaking from the o-ring not sitting right in the aerator. I dont know if this issue would be consistent across all these aerators, but it sure was a problem with mine.

Even though I bought the wrong size, I was able to use it on a tap in another bathroom....real easy to install.

Received product on time and in good condition. It was easy to install. Had to remove old aerator with wrench since it has been in place for 22 years. No tools needed to install new aerator. Tighten it by hand. It fitted perfect. I recommend to friends and family. I rate this a stars.

I have 4 Moen faucets that are the same age as my house, 12 years old. Some of them were not flowing that well any more. At first I tried going out to a home improvement store to get new generic ones, but they did not fit, so I thought why not just order some Moen ones on Amazon. These worked out really nice and fit my old faucets perfectly. I had forgotten how well they used to flow when they were new, and now the faucets flow like they did when they were new.
