> 3 dayMy brother has macular degeneration. Even reading glasses weren’t good enough for tiny printed instructions to his new electric razor. The magnifying glass did the trick! Thank you!

Greater than one weekOverall, I am pleased with this purchase. It is advertised as having a 30X magnification. I think that number is way way off. I think it is really 3x magnification. This is not backed up with a scientific test on my part. In my layman terms, I think that is all that it is. With that being said, it is perfect for what I bought if for. The lights on it really work well. The glass lense, and not being plastic was a major plus. The price was very reasonable I can recommend it on the contingency that you dont expect it to magnify 30X. I bought it to read tiny instructions that seem to be the norm these days and it suited me fine for that. I think if it truly magnified 30X it would be way to powerful and annoying to use.

> 3 dayThere is a circle of LEDs (12) that a few said focused the light into a ring pattern leaving the center relatively bare. I disagree with that! It is one of the first things I checked and I found the light pattern to be an even spread. Also. I found the brightness to be just right but not so bright that it causes glare. I cannot recommend this magnifier for reading, per se, if that is what you are needing. The field is too narrow for reading (although I suppose you could) but is perfect for very fine print or fine detail. I always have a magnifier within arms reach for that purpose. I got exactly what I wanted and Im pleased with it. There might be a better one out there even for the money but frankly I got tired of looking. Yes, I checked all of my local brick and mortar stores too. It looks and feels to be solidly constructed albeit a little heavy and bulky. (Which is my only complaint)

> 3 dayThis is a good magnifying glass for the price. But there is no way it is close to 30x. I bought it for a project that my 10x was not strong enough for. I can’t tell the difference between the two, so this can’t be more than 10x. I also find it interesting that the box it came in and the literature in the box don’t mention anywhere what the magnification is!!
