Madeline

One of my favorites as a child and now one of my sons favorites too. I love reading this with him. From Pooh poohing the tiger in the zoo to wanting to have his appendix out too my 3 year old loves Madeline just as much as I did. What a classic!

I loved this book as a little girl, as did my daughter. I just gave it to my Granddaughter who had me read it over and over when I visited.

Love that this comes as a board book! My kids destroy all paper at this age, but I love sharing the cute story and wonderful pictures with them. Plus, they love any story that rhymes.

My Granny read this book to us when I was a little girl. She turned 95 years old and we have misplaced the book. It was a delight to see her reaction when I gave it to her. A timeless classic.

I bought both the French and English version of this book for my 2 1/2 year old granddaughter after returning from Paris. She is not quite ready for it.

Perfect little board book! Some people are offended that its abridged, but I still think its great and description states its abridged. Its a very nice quality book when it arrives.

The book is abridged. About 8 pages of pictures and text were completely removed. As a result, the story takes abrupt jumps that require you to stop and get back on track. Also, the rhythm of the poem is interrupted. I had this book as a child and feel the abridge version spoils the story. However, it is a board book that can put up with rough use from my grandchildren. I decided to keep it and buy the unabridged version when they get older. I decided that an introduction to the story is better than not having heard it at all.

She loved it

I ordered this book to bring to a baby shower - I’d read Madeline as a child and the art is so iconic. But I returned this book and got them something else at the last minute, for a few reasons: -My copy that was shipped to me was torn by a sticker in the packaging -There is a slur on the back cover that I didn’t realize would be there - times have changed -I realized this is the book that gave me a lifelong fear of appendicitis that was especially strong in my childhood, and I remember wishing I had never read about such a thing that instilled this fear in me, so I didn’t want to pass that on to another kid
