> 3 dayWhat I like about this SSD was the faster startup times once I turned on my computer. My old HDD was very slow and annoying, even shutting down was slow, constant crashes and when I was getting updates it would take forever. Glad I made the upgrade, it’s like having a new computer.

> 3 dayIve tried quite a few brands of the 120-250GB SSD NAND drives and this Kingston is my favorite so far. Ive tried PNY, ADATA, INLAND, PATRIOT, in this price range and really like this Kingston for my OS drive, especially when upgrading an older PC (Core 2 Duo, Turion, and later) to run W10. I dont mind paying a buck or two more (not five though) for a little better drive. If I absolutely needed reliability and performance I wouldnt buy in this price range but go for the higher end EVO or better. This is perfect for the price.

> 3 dayI bought this drive fully aware that it lacks DRAM cache, which means that during random read/writes, it will significantly underperform compared to a flash SSD with a cache. That having been said, I purchased this drive to upgrade an 11 year old laptop that came equipped with an impossibly slow Western Digital Scorpio Blue 160GB mechanical HDD. As you can see from the attached CrystalDiskMark bench scores, the Kingston A400 (after a simple Windows image restore - running the same OS image/install) is anywhere from 8x to 55x faster on random 4k read/writes when compared to the old HDD. In comparison to an old 2.5inch HDD, even the Kingston A400s relatively meager (by SSD standards) random R/W performance is massively faster (not to mention enormously reduced latency).

Greater than one weekI purchased this device a while back. All I know is it works, runs well, and is still being stress tested. If all goes well I will call the owner and notify them the PC is ready.

> 3 daySolid state storage with adequate speed and storage. It is not the fastest nor the best ssd available, but the A400 is the ideal intersection of price and performance. You will find fast load speeds for files including games and you will not starve your bank account doing so. The visual appearance is fairly appealing and wont break your build displaying the drive. The A400 is an ideal consumer product but doesnt quite match enthusiast level offerings.
