This item was easy to install and works great. Ensure you clean the area good and install. Not, much to it.

I ordered the “KAPOOSY Foam Seal Strip 1/2 Inch W X 1/4 Inch T Gasket Seal Foam Tape, Door Draught Excluder for Door Window Furniture, Total Length 26 Feet (13ft x 2 Rolls)” to review and to follow instructions when installing a special shed door awning. The instructions called for closed cell backer rod when installing on non-flush surfaces. My shed has a “textured” wall so I found this foam seal strip instead because it too is closed cell foam. It fills all of the larger voids instead of using 10 tubes of silicone or caulk. It worked perfectly for my purpose and the adhesion aspect may not apply to my use because it held up long enough for me to compress it between two objects permanently. It’s a solid product that deserves a solid 4-star rating. Explaining my rating system: 5 – Exceeded Expectations – Highly recommend product. 4 – Average to Above Average – At least what you would expect based on the Product Page. Maybe a bit more. A solid product. Recommended. 3 – Average to Below Average – A bit less than what you would expect based on the Product Page. Left feeling somewhat disappointed. Maybe you’ll feel differently but I cannot fully stand behind the product. 2 – Below Average – Incorrect, missing, or misleading information on the product page. Low quality or questionable safety issues. Not recommended. 1 – Junk – A complete misrepresentation of the product advertised, severe quality or safety issues. Avoid at all costs.

Good weather-stripping. Easy to cut to length and easy to stick on. Measurements are accurate.

Just a note: the lising photo seems to show two strips side by side but it is really one piece. Works fine.

Very sticky and adhesive, fits perfectly even in this place - just have to kind of tuck it in the smaller spots. The foamy part is great, keeps water out especially if you need to weather strip your window or door etc.

I have been using this foam tape for a while now, and overall, it has been performing excellently. The foam is of good quality, and it has enough deflection to block air intrusion without interfering with the doors operation. Ive been using it for my garage door, but it can be used for various purposes. The adhesive is impressive and grips well, but the surface needs to be clean for it to work correctly. I have found that a quick wipe with rubbing alcohol helps to remove any lingering issues that could affect the glues adhesion. However, there are two minor issues that I have encountered. Firstly, the backing tape can be challenging to get started when peeling it off. I have tried using my fingernails, but unfortunately, they are too short to be of much help. Secondly, the tape has a strong plastic smell that I believe is due to the adhesive. Thankfully, the smell dissipates once the tape has been applied, so its not a long-term issue. In conclusion, I would highly recommend this foam tape for anyone looking for an effective and affordable solution for blocking air intrusion. Its impressive adhesive and quality foam make it ideal for various purposes. However, be prepared for a bit of struggle when peeling off the backing tape, and expect a strong smell that will eventually disappear.

These are great foam insulation strips. I used them for a window AC install. The adhesive sticks well and the strips are flexible enough to provide a good seal.

We used this closed-cell insulation to help cover the slight gap left after we installed an LED DRL strip on a vehicle whose hood would not comfortably close until we removed the much thicker OEM hood insulation. Although not an entirely ideal fix, the results have, thus far, actually been better than expected. All in all, this appears to be a generally good-quality closed-cell foam strip.

I actually got this weather stripping to serve a crafting need, however I wanted to test it for its effectiveness for its designed purpose. The quality was evident upon opening the package. The foam is dense and sturdy, the sticking power is enormous. I adhered it to the edges of my door and removed it a few days later. I had to use a paint scraper to lift it from its position. I then reapplied it to another spot, not once but 3 times and each time it still adhered strongly. I would definitely recommend this product.
