> 24 hourBest dressmaking scissors Ive ever had, other than the first pair of 8 Kais I bought a couple of years ago. Being a little larger, these allow for easier large cuts. As for the handle size being too large for some reviewers, I didnt find this to be the case. The handle is larger than on the 8 shears, but they really have to be to maintain a good balance. Love, love, love Kai!

> 24 hourSome superior products seems to be hiding in plane sight, this is one of them. I can vouch its soo much easy on your hands as compared to my expensive Gingher. The edge is ground on a steep angle as compared to regular shears, meaning it can cut your fingers just by touching the edges. And yes it can cut multiple layers of cloths, leather with sure ease. This is among one of those rare products which, after using you tend to not go back to any other brands. Good work, Kai!

> 24 hourThe best pair of scissors I’ve owned. Most scissors I have used for cutting fleece dull very quickly. But these stand up to cutting fleece material. I have made 75 fleece blankets and there not dull. There well made, there sturdy easy to use. I love the length of the scissors.

> 24 hourThese scissors are so incredibly sharp & well made that Ive forbidden my kids and husband from even thinking they can be for anything other than fabric! If the Lord blesses me with a long life, Ill still have these scissors. I plan to let a professional bladesmith help me keep them in shape! Im beyond pleased with these and I highly recommend them. Worth EVERY dime!

> 24 hourMy wife sews professionally. She does alterations, repairs, and custom sewing. She stays pretty busy at it, sewing for at least 4 hours nearly every week day. Like many others have mentioned, for a long time we both thought that Gingher scissors were the best. We were loyal to Gingher. Grandma has a wonderful pair of Gingher scissors. But for several years Cindy was unhappy with every one of several new pair of Gingher scissors. Twice we sent scissors in to Gingher for servicing, but they came back no better than when we sent them. They will variously grab in spots, not cut at the very ends of the blades, or be hard to close. Cindy had finally resorted to using a pair of $10 Fiskar scissors, which werent great, but they cut better than the Ginghers. Wanting to help her with this problem, and after reading so many positive reviews, I took it upon myself to order her a pair of Kai Dressmaker Shears that cost $22 back then. She was so happy with them that I quickly ordered three different pair of Kai: the 5-1/2 embroidery scissors, the 8-inch Professional shears; and these 10-inch Professional Shears. Cindy is thrilled with all of them. She says, “They are comfortable to use. They require very little force to cut even heavy fabrics. And they cut the sheerest fabrics just as well. They are sharp, smooth, and cut well right out to the tips of the blades.” I posted our first review of the 8-inch Dressmaker Shears two years ago. Since then Cindy has been using all four pair of her Kai scissors nearly every day. She keeps the 8-inch Professional Shears at her sewing machine. She keeps the 8-inch Dressmaker Shears at the ironing board. She uses the embroidery scissors for snipping thread at the sewing machine. And she keeps these 10-inch Professional scissors for when she needs to cut bulk fabric. Cindy says, “For two years now I’ve been using these scissors every day. The three larger pair cut just as well as when they were new. Only recently, the embroidery scissors have gotten to where they don’t cut so well on the last ½ inch of the tips where I use them constantly to snip thread. It’s finally time to spend another $17 for a new pair of those.” I asked her if she thought the Processional series scissors were worth 4 times the cost of the Dressmaker Shears. Cindy says, “If I only had the cheaper ones, I would be very happy. But I really like the Professional Shears. They just feel more precise, and smooth, and the grip is nicer. I still want both.” A few months after Cindy started using the Kai scissors even Grandma abandoned her Gingher’s. About her Kai scissors she says, “Wow. Now I can’t imagine not having them.” I’m sorry if our effusiveness sounds a little too much like a “Walton Family” story, but I don’t know any other way to try to communicate how good we judge these scissors to be. It is so satisfying to find a really great tool at a reasonable price. It’s just a shame that they aren’t made in America.

> 24 hourI was hesitant to pay the price for a pair of 7200-series KAI scissors but they are the best and sharpest scissors you can buy. I have both the normal a serrated versions of these scissors. Keep your fingers away from the blades! They are razor sharp! I cut through eight layers of grosgrain fabric with ease. They balance well in the hand and they are comfortable to use for extended periods. If youve been buying G brand scissors, in the past, try these and youll never go back. If youre a professional or simply want the best scissors money can buy, KAI 7000 series are the ones you want!
