I bought this to keep ducks out of our pool. It is super flimsy and has a huge hole to inflate it which means the air leaks out before you can close it. I cant believe I paid $20 for it. It probably cost 10 cents to make. Im waiting for it to take flight out of pool in the wind. Its just plastered against the wall. Pretty sure ducks will be laughing at it later as they visit.

This was a lot of fun. Stayed inflated.

I only got this to help fend off the ducks from landing in my pool. It does the job. Air leaks over time on a regular basis though.

Nice looking small inflatable for fun, not for scaring ducks from pool

Well, it is what it says. Instructions show how to patch a hole, but there was no patch included. It’s not as sturdy or thick as I expected for $21. Honestly seems like a $4-$5 retail product or something you’d find at Five Below. If I saw this in a store I wouldn’t pay more than that. Just got this today so I’ll update once I know how it works. We bought to keep away a pair of ducks that seem to like our pool.

It’s working to keep away some ducks from pool.

My husband easily inflated this with his air hose in the garage. Only thing I can say is it is a little smaller than I thought it was, but that’s on me since I wasn’t focused on reading when I bought it lol. Also, my husband had a little bit of a time trying to close the clasp once it was full of air, but finally got it. This is actually perfect for my teen daughter who is into alligators right now.

We bought this to scare the ducks out of our pool and it works! Id like to think that the ducks are scared of alligators, but our pool guy says that anything floating in the pool will likely keep them away or at least on the other side of the pool. Im still telling people that its the alligator that is scaring them. Do not buy this if youre wanting to float on it. It is much smaller than you think it will be and is just a toy, not to float on.

I got this alligator to keep away the ducks. I have personally now witnessed ducks that fly over thinking better of it, and moving on. This little thing is life-like, to the point it’s startling when you first get it and see it out of the corner of your eye. Good quality and seriously life-like. Looks like a baby alligator. I see in reviews that it fades if left in the sun. I just pull it out of the water and store it and then put it back out in the evening and retrieve in the morning. The hours that count for the ducks (at least here) are in the evening and early morning. LOL anyways this is a win!

The “alligator” came delivered in a bag. I was amazed by how flimsy it is. While it inflates like a regular beach ball, the air comes out almost as fast as you blow it in. I bought this because a duck or two crapped in my pool on my new plaster. Despite the other reviews and video, as with many things that are sold on Amazon, it’s difficult to obtain a real sense of what this product is before purchase. It is a kid’s pool toy that might help some to ward off ducks in a pool. The ducks actually or potentially in one’s pool have to be extremely stupid to mistake this toy as a predator. Even with all of these observations, I decided to keep and deploy the “alligator”. The price is OK and I didn’t want to take a chance with a return of my feathered friends. It is not the only defensive measure that I took. I also strung some weed wacker line low and near the steps because of a video that I saw in which a man used fishing line. Between the two measures, the ducks have not been back since Thursday night. Hopefully, my success so far will continue without interruption. As pool owners know or should know, duck crap is very bad for plaster and unhealthy. P.S. Almost One Month Later: “Al” has been doing “his” job. The ducks have not returned and the pool seems relatively cleaner from other wildlife’s avoidance measures. So, I am pleased with “him”. “He” hangs by where I do as if “he” is keeping me company. So, I am pleased with “him” overall.
