Recently set up an African cichlids tank and really didn’t know what I was getting into! Anyone that keeps fish know what kind of investment it is and to have all your fish die from a heater maalfunction can be devistating. Learned about this on a group on FB. I own Inkbird thermometers for my smoker and know they make a quality product, so I decided to give it a shot. So far I love it. Took about 15 min to set up and program. Tested it out and good to go! Thanks again Inkbird for making a quality product at an affordable price. When you have several hundred $$ swimming around your tank, a $30 investment is worth it!

Easy to setup and very accurate. Literally 0.3 degrees Fahrenheit difference from digital thermometer I have. Not sure which one is exactly, but close enough for aquarium.

Great product for aquarium use. Accurate Temperature reading, ability to add calibration if needed & ability to connect two heaters for larger tanks. Second purchase and will order more as needed.

I had an Eheim Jager heater that was virtually impossible to calibrate to the desired temp. and had become useless. Connecting it to the Inkbird made everything easy and I no longer worry about my fish being cooked or freezing because of the EJ heater. It took a bit to understand the directions but the Q&A on Amazon answered all my questions and once set, it truly is set and forget I wish it was adjustable to 1/2 a degree rather than 1 degree but Im happy not to see my tank temp at 84 when the heater was set at 78. Ive been using it on a 20 gal tall for 2 months and could not be happier. If you have an erratic or hard to adjust heater, the Inkbird is for you.

Im sure the quality is very good. The extra outlet is good for attaching a 2nd device. The instructions have mostly scientific gook that doesnt mean much for an amateur like me. The instructions are not very effective about how to set it up. I experimented for a couple of hours before I could get it to work at all. Now it works, but Im not sure how to do it again. There are a few other products available in a close price range that work just as well without the fuss. I wouldnt buy this again.

I had to look up the manual for this product online in order to properly figure out how to set the temp. The little pamphlet that comes with it isnt as helpful as the actual online manual. But once I got it up and running, no complaints!

I’m been using this inkbird heater controller for over 6 months now and I would have to say it’s been excellent. The setup was easy and definitely worth the money. I wouldn’t run a aquarium without one. Great value for your money.
