HTC VIVE Virtual Reality System Tracker

> 3 dayThe HTC Vive Trackers usually last me quite a while while in VR, theyre super light-weight and compact so it doesnt take up too much space. Id recommend buying this tracker instead of the 2018 Vive Tracker if you stay in VR for a while.

> 3 dayThey do a pretty good job of tracking feet and waist movement. I primarily use them for VRChat for full-body tracking. They can get a little jittery at times, and they are very sensitive to any vaguely reflective surfaces that might be in the room, so youll have to cover any glass or glossy flat surfaces to avoid drift and jitter. They have a recurring, really stupid problem with powering on, however. Oftentimes, they will seem not to power on at all, with no light, but it will awaken SteamVR anyway and act like the tracker is tracking. However, it actually isnt at all. You have to close SteamVR, plug the tracker into the PC, reopen SteamVR, repeat in various combinations until the light actually comes on and tracks normally. I have this happen nearly every time I use them, and its happened with all three of my trackers (though not usually at the same time). Its incredibly frustrating, and is apparently due to the latest firmware update that happened *two years ago*. So dont expect it to be fixed anytime soon.

Greater than one weekAmazing! I tend to play a lot of VRChat and I will say these are worth evey penny (Over priced yes) they take around 1-2 weeks to ship out even with one day shipping. It’s worth the wait. Battery life 5-6 hours it’s eh, decent for a small little tracker. The tracking accuracy is a 10/10 I can twist my ankle around and it picks it up great. I will say if you are playing VRChat you will need a Fullbody avatar, I had one commissioned so it saved me a lot of trouble and frustration. (NOTE)- To play VRChat with fullbody you will need 3 trackers not one or two save yourself some money and just buy them all at the same time.

> 3 dayIt works really well with quest 2 when I use OVR. I use base station 1.0’s, and these last a good while as well. What I understand now is that there are tundra trackers out, but they would be more complicated to set up. Anyways they are great, I recommend them, they also take a beating.

> 3 dayGot 3 of them for my valve index and they work beautifully. Maybe purchase more in the future but definitely worth the money.

Greater than one weekBought 3 for full body tracking on VRChat. I’m pretty satisfied and they all worked as expected. Setting it up very extremely easy. Almost plug and play. Would recommend these for anyone wanting full body tracking on VRChat. It makes the game so much more enjoyable.

> 3 dayI recently purchased 3 of these for full body tracking. For what you get, these are just some little plastic pucks and not worth $99 a piece. Honestly, not even worth the price if they gave you three for $99. Seriously, there isnt much to these trackers and probably cost them maybe $10 a piece to produce, if that. Now, that said, the experience is absolutely worth the price. Being able to go into VR with full body presence is just something else. Not too many games support it, but the ones that do completely changes how you play. Pros: 1. After the initial pairing and update of firmware, they connect quickly and consistently. 2. I cant really think of any specific pros. They work. You kinda forget about the trackers and just get immersed in the game. Cons: 1. Charging is on the slow side. Im used to the Index controllers having fast charging, so using these included USB 2.0 cables to charge can be fairly slow in comparison. 2. Battery life could be better. 3. This one isnt really a con, but it does make me question the QC on these devices. 1 of the trackers I got has a yellow charging light, instead of a orange light. Not a problem really, but it is a bit of an eye sore when they are charging to see that on tracker with the wrong colored light. Overall, I wont fault it for the one with the wrong colored charging light, but I will ding it one star because of the slow charging and battery life. I honestly cant wait to see what the next thing in VR tech will be for full body tracking.

Greater than one week4 parts involved in each tracker box. • Radio Nib (USB A) • USB-A to USB-C Dongle Thingy (FtF) • USB-A to USB-C Cable (MtM) • Tracker (Charges with USB C) Plug the Radio Nib into the Dongle. Plug the cable into your available on your computer of choice or usb hub (probably a good idea to have one of these and plugged into one of your blue/red usb3 ports) . Do the thing. When you want to charge, either use a different usb-c charging cable `or` gently take the dongle/nib combo thing off the end of the usb-a/usb-c cable and plug your tracker in gently. (yknow, unless you want the charging port and cable to wear down faster than necessary.) - If youre in Steam VR, dont forget to tell these trackers what theyre supposed to exist as in your steamvr settings>controllers>trackers options. You might have to turn them off and on while wearing them to identify which is where since itll go red in the menu (if identify doesnt work like it doesnt in mine). Pretty quick to do though. If youre doing VRChat, when the trackers are turned on VRC should give you a different menu button in there, just hit Calibrate FBT and then assume the T-pose to assert dominance upon your new trackers. Align things as best you can with your choice of model and hope that it was designed in a sensible way for FBT. ^^ Using these for one session, it seems the battery life on the trackers will be roughly the same as a fresh set of Index controllers - so thats convenient enough.

> 3 dayId love to give 5 stars but knocking one-off for the price being steep along with I had to tinker a bit to get the third one to pair correctly. If you are having trouble paring I did so by turning off and repairing one that was good to the tracker that wouldnt pair, that did the trick and just like that I was off to dance and party in vr.

Greater than one weekI love these things. I only play VRChat so I do not know what other games support these. But I use 4 trackers, two on my feet one on the side of my hip and one on my chest. The chest helps a lot to keep my body from moving up as I sit down as it obscures my vision. Pros: -super easy to set up just plug and and let steamvr pair them - Very tanky accidentally kicked walls with them and dropped them on steel parts of my desk and work fine. -last a really long time, though I plug them in every night and have a full time job so I generally play at most 3 hours a day only had to use spare USB batteries to charge them on the weekend a few times - It really does bring life to the game for me as it makes my avatar feel way less robotic. - fairly easy to rig up a cheap 5000mah cell phone charging battery to the strap. You can buy velcro tape and sew one side to the strap and tape the other to the battery and buy some velcro straps for extra security to quickly install and remove when needed. Honestly 5000mah is overkill they still showed full charge after completely charging them up so if you can go a bit smaller like 1000-2000mah since you can just remove them after they did their thing and throw them back on the chargers. Cons: - I have a small room so my trackers sometimes lose sight of my 3 light houses making my character fly away at the speed of light or turn into some twisted demonic pretzel. - Need so many USB wires and ports for both the computer and for charging
